أحبط الجيش اليمني في مديرية المخا غرب تعز اليوم (الأحد) هجومين، أحدهما بالمسيرات كان يستهدف محطة الطاقة الشمسية في المديرية، والآخر بالزوارق المفخخة، التي جرى تفجيرها قبالة الميناء.
وقال مصدر عسكري يمني إن نحو 16 مسيرة حوثية جرى التعامل معها وتدميرها قبل تمكنها من استهداف محطة الطاقة، مبيناً أن الصواريخ والمسيرات الحوثية استهدفت بـ30 صاروخاً الميناء وسكن الأطباء في أحد المستشفيات، وسقط جزء منها قرب مقر قناة الجمهورية.
وذكر المصدر أن الهجوم الحوثي تزامن مع محاولة استخدام زوارق مفخخة لاستهداف ميناء المخا والسفن التجارية الراسية في رصيف الميناء، لكن القوات الحكومية أحبطتها.
وذكر المصدر أن شظايا الصواريخ طالت مناطق ومرافق مدنية وسكنية، بينها فنادق وشقق سكنية، ومحيط تجمعات للمواطنين قرب الجوازات والأحوال المدنية.
وكانت مصادر طبية قد أكدت مقتل 3 عسكريين و5 مدنيين وجرح آخرين جراء الهجوم على ميناء المخا، مبينة أن محاولة استهداف الميناء والسفن التجارية الراسية فيه بواسطة زورق مفخخ تؤكد حالة الفشل الحوثي واللجوء لاستهداف مواقع وبنية تحتية مدنية.
ولفتت إلى استمرار التعامل مع الأهداف الجوية والزوارق المفخخة الحوثية.
من جهة أخرى، زار محافظ الحديدة الدكتور الحسن طاهر عدداً من المصابين جراء قصف بمسيّرة حوثية استهدف منازل مدنيين في مديرية حيس، وذلك بعد ساعات من نجاته من هجوم حوثي استهدف منزله.
واطلع المحافظ على أوضاع الجرحى ومستوى الرعاية الطبية المقدمة لهم، مؤكداً اهتمام السلطة المحلية بمتابعة حالتهم وتوفير احتياجاتهم العلاجية.
The Yemeni army thwarted two attacks today (Sunday) in the Al-Mokha district west of Taiz, one of which involved drones targeting the solar power station in the district, and the other involved explosive-laden boats, which were detonated off the port.
A Yemeni military source stated that approximately 16 Houthi drones were dealt with and destroyed before they could target the power station, indicating that Houthi missiles and drones targeted the port and the doctors' residence in one of the hospitals with 30 rockets, with some landing near the headquarters of Al-Jumhuriya Channel.
The source mentioned that the Houthi attack coincided with an attempt to use explosive-laden boats to target the Al-Mokha port and the commercial ships docked at the port, but government forces thwarted them.
The source noted that missile shrapnel affected civilian and residential areas, including hotels and residential apartments, as well as the vicinity of gatherings of citizens near the passport and civil status offices.
Medical sources had confirmed the death of 3 military personnel and 5 civilians, with others injured as a result of the attack on the Al-Mokha port, indicating that the attempt to target the port and the commercial ships docked there using an explosive-laden boat confirms the Houthi failure and their resort to targeting civilian sites and infrastructure.
It was pointed out that efforts to deal with Houthi aerial targets and explosive-laden boats continue.
On another note, the governor of Al-Hudaydah, Dr. Al-Hassan Taher, visited a number of those injured due to a Houthi drone strike that targeted civilian homes in the Hays district, just hours after he survived a Houthi attack on his home.
The governor was briefed on the conditions of the wounded and the level of medical care provided to them, confirming the local authority's interest in following up on their condition and providing for their medical needs.
