استقبل الرئيس الكولومبي الجديد دي لا إسبيريلا سدة الحكم على وقع أعمال عنف دامية؛ إذ هزت البلاد هجمات مزدوجة خلال أقل من 24 ساعة من تسلمه مهامه الرسمية.
ففي شمال شرق البلاد، استهدفت طائرات مسيّرة مركز شرطة سان روكي الواقع في منطقة كورو ماني الريفية، ما أودى بحياة نائب المفتش أرجيميرو روديلو كانشيلا وإصابة شرطي آخر بجراح، فضلاً عن دمار مادي واسع في الموقع. وفي التوقيت ذاته تقريباً، ضرب اعتداء ثانٍ جنوب غرب كولومبيا، حيث انفجرت سيارة مفخخة بالقرب من كشك مون دومو على الطريق السريع لعموم أمريكا في مقاطعة كاوكا، مخلفة جريحين في صفوف الشرطة.
وعلى أثر هذه التطورات الأمنية المتسارعة، أعلنت وزارة الدفاع الكولومبية استنفاراً شاملاً، مخصصة موارد استخباراتية وميدانية مكثفة لتعقب الجناة وتحديد مخابئهم تمهيداً لتقديمهم إلى العدالة.

In the northeast of the country, drones targeted the San Roque police station located in the rural area of Coromani, resulting in the death of Deputy Inspector Argimiro Rodillo Cancela and injuring another police officer, in addition to extensive material damage at the site. Around the same time, a second attack struck southwestern Colombia, where a car bomb exploded near the Mondomo booth on the Pan-American highway in Cauca province, leaving two police officers injured.
In light of these rapidly evolving security developments, the Colombian Ministry of Defense announced a comprehensive alert, allocating intensive intelligence and field resources to track down the perpetrators and identify their hideouts in preparation for bringing them to justice.
