في تطور ميداني لافت، أعلنت وزارة الدفاع اليمنية، اليوم (السبت)، تنفيذ عمل عسكري استهدف عناصر مليشيا الحوثي وعتادها، رداً على اعتداءاتها الأخيرة، فيما شهدت جبهات الساحل الغربي اشتباكات عنيفة، بالتزامن مع رفع مستوى الجاهزية العسكرية والأمنية في البلاد.
وأوضح الناطق باسم الجيش اليمني العقيد ماجد النزيلي، أن التحرك العسكري جاء رداً على ما وصفه بـ«الاعتداءات الحوثية الغادرة»، مؤكداً أن العملية عكست وحدة محاور القوات المسلحة وتكامل منظومة القيادة والسيطرة.
وحمّل الجيش اليمني مليشيا الحوثي ومن يقف خلفها المسؤولية الكاملة عن استمرار التصعيد وتداعياته، مؤكداً جاهزية القوات المسلحة للتعامل مع التطورات الميدانية.
الجيش: أجندات خارجية وتمزيق للاقتصاد
واتهمت وزارة الدفاع اليمنية الحوثيين بالزج باليمن في صراعات إقليمية خدمة لأجندات خارجية، وتحميل اليمنيين مزيداً من الأزمات والمعاناة.
وأكدت أن المليشيا أسهمت في تمزيق الاقتصاد اليمني ونشر الطائفية والانقسام بين أبناء الشعب، في وقت يعاني اليمن من تداعيات حرب ممتدة وأوضاع إنسانية واقتصادية صعبة.
الخوخة تشتعل.. وإحباط هجوم حوثي
وتزامناً مع إعلان العملية العسكرية، أفادت مصادر إعلامية باندلاع اشتباكات عنيفة بين القوات الحكومية ومليشيا الحوثي شمال مدينة الخوخة غربي اليمن.
وذكرت المصادر أن المقاومة التهامية، المنضوية ضمن التشكيلات العسكرية في الساحل الغربي، تمكنت من صد هجوم شنته مليشيا الحوثي جنوب الحديدة، وأوقعت خسائر كبيرة في صفوفها.
وتشير التطورات المتلاحقة إلى تصاعد التوتر على أكثر من جبهة، في ظل استمرار الهجمات الحوثية ومحاولات التقدم باتجاه مواقع القوات الحكومية.
اجتماع طارئ.. ورفع الجاهزية
وفي موازاة التصعيد الميداني، عقد مجلس الدفاع الوطني اليمني اجتماعاً طارئاً برئاسة رئيس مجلس القيادة الرئاسي رشاد العليمي، لمناقشة المستجدات العسكرية والأمنية.
وأقر المجلس استمرار انعقاده لمواكبة التطورات والاستجابة العاجلة لها، موجهاً برفع مستوى الجاهزية العسكرية والأمنية وتعزيز التنسيق بين مؤسسات الدولة.
وناقش المجلس الهجمات الحوثية بالصواريخ والطائرات المسيّرة التي استهدفت مواقع عسكرية ومنشآت مدنية في محافظات مأرب وحضرموت وشبوة، وما تفرضه من تحديات أمنية وميدانية.
وتأتي التحركات العسكرية ورفع الجاهزية في وقت تشهد فيه جبهات المواجهة تصعيداً متزايداً، وسط تحذيرات من أن استمرار الهجمات الحوثية قد يدفع إلى مزيد من الردود العسكرية واتساع رقعة المواجهات.
حق مشروع للدفاع عن اليمن
ويأتي تنفيذ القوات المسلحة اليمنية عملاً عسكرياً يستهدف القوات والقدرات الحوثية في عدة محاور انطلاقاً من حقها المشروع في الدفاع عن أمنها وأمن منتسبيها وحماية المدنيين العُزّل من الاعتداءات الارهابية الغادرة والمتكررة التي نفذتها المليشيا الحوثية الارهابية في محافظتي مأرب وحضرموت والتي تسببت في سقوط عدد من الشهداء والجرحى من القوات المسلحة والمواطنين الأبرياء.
وأثبتت العملية التي نفذتها القوات المسلحة اليمنية ضد الحوثيين في عدة محاور أن هذه القوات موحدة، وأن الاعتداء على أي من تشكيلاتها هو اعتداء عليها جميعاً، كما أثبتت كفاءة القوات المسلحة اليمنية في حماية المواطنين ومنتسبيها ومواقعها والدفاع عن الدولة.
In a notable field development, the Yemeni Ministry of Defense announced today (Saturday) the execution of a military operation targeting Houthi militia elements and their equipment, in response to their recent attacks, while violent clashes erupted on the western coast fronts, coinciding with an increase in military and security readiness in the country.
The spokesperson for the Yemeni army, Colonel Majid Al-Nazili, explained that the military move came in response to what he described as "treacherous Houthi attacks," confirming that the operation reflected the unity of the armed forces' fronts and the integration of the command and control system.
The Yemeni army held the Houthi militia and those behind them fully responsible for the ongoing escalation and its repercussions, affirming the armed forces' readiness to deal with the field developments.
The Army: External Agendas and Economic Fragmentation
The Yemeni Ministry of Defense accused the Houthis of dragging Yemen into regional conflicts to serve external agendas, imposing further crises and suffering on the Yemeni people.
It confirmed that the militia contributed to the fragmentation of the Yemeni economy and the spread of sectarianism and division among the people, at a time when Yemen is suffering from the repercussions of an extended war and difficult humanitarian and economic conditions.
Al-Khokha Ignites.. Foiling a Houthi Attack
Coinciding with the announcement of the military operation, media sources reported the outbreak of violent clashes between government forces and the Houthi militia north of the city of Al-Khokha in western Yemen.
The sources mentioned that the Tihama resistance, part of the military formations on the western coast, managed to repel an attack launched by the Houthi militia south of Al-Hudaydah, inflicting heavy losses on their ranks.
Ongoing developments indicate an escalation of tension on multiple fronts, amid continued Houthi attacks and attempts to advance towards government forces' positions.
Emergency Meeting.. Raising Readiness
In parallel with the field escalation, the Yemeni National Defense Council held an emergency meeting chaired by the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, to discuss military and security developments.
The council approved the continuation of its meetings to keep pace with developments and respond urgently to them, directing an increase in military and security readiness and enhancing coordination among state institutions.
The council discussed the Houthi attacks with missiles and drones that targeted military sites and civilian facilities in the governorates of Marib, Hadhramaut, and Shabwa, and the security and field challenges they impose.
The military movements and the increase in readiness come at a time when the confrontation fronts are witnessing increasing escalation, amid warnings that the continuation of Houthi attacks could lead to further military responses and an expansion of the confrontations.
A Legitimate Right to Defend Yemen
The execution of a military operation by the Yemeni armed forces targeting Houthi forces and capabilities on several fronts stems from their legitimate right to defend their security and the safety of their personnel and to protect unarmed civilians from the treacherous and repeated terrorist attacks carried out by the Houthi terrorist militia in the governorates of Marib and Hadhramaut, which resulted in the fall of a number of martyrs and wounded among the armed forces and innocent civilians.
The operation carried out by the Yemeni armed forces against the Houthis on several fronts proved that these forces are united, and that an attack on any of their formations is an attack on all of them, as it demonstrated the efficiency of the Yemeni armed forces in protecting citizens, their personnel, and their sites, and defending the state.
