رحبت وزارة الخارجية وشؤون المغتربين بالبيان الصحفي الصادر عن مجلس الأمن بشأن اليمن، معتبرة أن ما تضمنه من مواقف بشأن احترام سيادة البلاد ورفض الانتهاكات التي تطال أراضيها ومجالها الجوي يمثل تأكيدًا على موقف المجتمع الدولي الداعم لوحدة اليمن واستقلاله وسلامة أراضيه.
وأشادت الوزارة بما ورد في البيان من إدانة للرحلات الجوية الإيرانية التي هبطت في مطاري صنعاء والحديدة دون الحصول على إذن مسبق من الحكومة اليمنية، إلى جانب إدانة الاعتداءات الحوثية على المملكة العربية السعودية والهجمات التي تستهدف السفن التجارية، فضلًا عن تجديد مجلس الأمن التزامه بسيادة الجمهورية اليمنية واستقلالها ووحدتها وسلامة أراضيها.
وثمنت الخارجية تأكيد مجلس الأمن أن جميع الرحلات الجوية إلى المطارات اليمنية يجب أن تتم بالتنسيق مع الحكومة اليمنية والحصول على موافقتها المسبقة، مشيرة إلى أهمية الالتزام بالقانون الدولي وقرارات مجلس الأمن ذات الصلة، وفي مقدمتها القرار 2216.
كما رحبت بتأكيد المجلس على القيود المفروضة بموجب القرار، بما في ذلك حظر توريد الأسلحة والمعدات، أو تقديم المساعدة التقنية والتدريب والدعم المالي المرتبط بالأنشطة العسكرية للأفراد والكيانات المدرجة على قائمة الجزاءات، ومن بينهم الحوثيون.
وأكدت الوزارة أن تأكيد مجلس الأمن على سيادة اليمن وسلامة أراضيه ومجاله الجوي يعزز موقف الحكومة اليمنية القائم على أن استعادة مؤسسات الدولة وتمكينها من ممارسة سلطاتها على كامل التراب الوطني يمثلان الطريق الأساسي نحو تحقيق الأمن والاستقرار في البلاد، فضلًا عن الإسهام في حماية أمن المنطقة وضمان سلامة الملاحة الدولية.
وشددت الخارجية على أن استمرار الهجمات الحوثية وما تسببه من تهديد للأمن والاستقرار الإقليميين يؤكد الحاجة إلى تنفيذ قرارات مجلس الأمن ذات الصلة بصورة فعالة، والعمل على وقف تدفق الأسلحة والتقنيات والخبرات العسكرية إلى الجماعة.
كما دعت إلى تعزيز دعم مؤسسات الدولة اليمنية ورفع قدراتها بما يمكنها من حماية سيادة البلاد، وتأمين سواحلها ومياهها الإقليمية، والمساهمة في حماية الممرات البحرية الدولية.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed the press statement issued by the Security Council regarding Yemen, considering that its positions on respecting the sovereignty of the country and rejecting violations of its territory and airspace represent a confirmation of the international community's support for Yemen's unity, independence, and territorial integrity.
The ministry praised the statement's condemnation of Iranian flights that landed at Sana'a and Hodeidah airports without prior permission from the Yemeni government, as well as the condemnation of Houthi attacks on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the assaults targeting commercial vessels, in addition to the Security Council's reaffirmation of its commitment to the sovereignty, independence, unity, and territorial integrity of the Republic of Yemen.
The Foreign Ministry appreciated the Security Council's confirmation that all flights to Yemeni airports must be coordinated with the Yemeni government and obtain its prior approval, noting the importance of adhering to international law and relevant Security Council resolutions, foremost among them Resolution 2216.
It also welcomed the Council's affirmation of the restrictions imposed under the resolution, including the prohibition of supplying weapons and equipment, or providing technical assistance, training, and financial support related to military activities of individuals and entities listed on the sanctions list, including the Houthis.
The ministry emphasized that the Security Council's affirmation of Yemen's sovereignty and the integrity of its territory and airspace strengthens the Yemeni government's position that restoring state institutions and enabling them to exercise their authorities over the entire national territory is the fundamental path towards achieving security and stability in the country, as well as contributing to the protection of regional security and ensuring the safety of international navigation.
The Foreign Ministry stressed that the continuation of Houthi attacks and the threats they pose to regional security and stability highlight the need for the effective implementation of relevant Security Council resolutions and efforts to stop the flow of weapons, technologies, and military expertise to the group.
It also called for enhancing support for Yemeni state institutions and raising their capabilities to enable them to protect the country's sovereignty, secure its coasts and territorial waters, and contribute to the protection of international maritime passages.
