كشف الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي، اليوم (الأحد)، تحضيرات تُجرى لاجتماع مع الجانب الأمريكي.
وكتب زيلينسكي على حسابه في «X»: «هناك العديد من التفاصيل المهمة، ونحن نعمل بدقة على كل بند من بنود كل مسودة»، مشدداً بالقول: «الأمر الأساسي هو أن جميع الخطوات التي نتفق عليها مع شركائنا يجب أن تُطبّق عملياً لضمان الأمن».
ضمانات موثقة للسلام
وأشار إلى أن الضمانات الموثوقة وحدها كفيلة بتحقيق السلام، معرباً عن ثقته بشركائه لمواصلة العمل البنّاء أيضاً.
ولفت إلى أن هناك حلولاً وسطاً بشأن مقترحات السلام حول كيفية إنهاء الحرب مع روسيا قبل المحادثات التي ستُجرى في برلين مع الشركاء الأمريكيين والأوروبيين.
وفي رده على أسئلة صحفيين في محادثة عبر تطبيق واتساب، قال زيلينسكي: «إن الضمانات الأمنية التي قدمتها الولايات المتحدة والشركاء الأوروبيون وغيرهم من الشركاء، كبديل عن عضوية أوكرانيا في حلف شمال الأطلسي، بمثابة حل وسط من جانب أوكرانيا».
وأضاف أن وقف إطلاق النار بين أوكرانيا وروسيا على امتداد خطوط المواجهة الحالية سيكون خياراً عادلاً.
وفي ما يتعلق بمطالبة روسيا بانسحاب أوكرانيا من أجزاء من منطقتي دونيتسك ولوغانسك الشرقيتين في دونباس، قال زيلينسكي: «مثل هذا الخيار سيكون مجحفاً»، مضيفاً: «قضية الأراضي لا تزال عالقة وشديدة الحساسية».
اجتماعات برلين
وكان مسؤول أمريكي قد قال لموقع «إكسيوس» إن مبعوث البيت الأبيض ستيف ويتكوف، وجاريد كوشنر (صهر الرئيس دونالد ترمب) سيجتمعان مع زيلينسكي في برلين (الأحد)، ثم بشكل منفصل مع مستشاري الأمن القومي لألمانيا وفرنسا وبريطانيا.
وقدمت إدارة ترمب الشهر الماضي مقترحاً للسلام إلى الجانب الأوكراني، تضمن عدة نقاط، من بينها تنازل كييف عن دونباس وتخليها عن حلم الانضمام إلى حلف شمال الأطلسي، وهما مطلبان لطالما تمسكت بهما موسكو، إلا أن زيلينسكي أكد لاحقاً أنه لا يمكنه التنازل قانونياً ودستورياً عن أي أراضٍ.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed today (Sunday) preparations being made for a meeting with the American side.
Zelensky wrote on his account on "X": "There are many important details, and we are working meticulously on every item of every draft," emphasizing: "The fundamental thing is that all steps we agree upon with our partners must be practically implemented to ensure security."
Documented Guarantees for Peace
He pointed out that only reliable guarantees are sufficient to achieve peace, expressing his confidence in his partners to continue constructive work as well.
He noted that there are compromises regarding peace proposals on how to end the war with Russia before the talks that will take place in Berlin with American and European partners.
In response to questions from journalists in a conversation via WhatsApp, Zelensky said: "The security guarantees provided by the United States and European partners, and other partners, as an alternative to Ukraine's membership in NATO, represent a compromise on Ukraine's part."
He added that a ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia along the current front lines would be a fair option.
Regarding Russia's demand for Ukraine to withdraw from parts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions in Donbas, Zelensky said: "Such an option would be unjust," adding: "The issue of territory remains unresolved and highly sensitive."
Berlin Meetings
An American official told Axios that White House envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner (son-in-law of President Donald Trump) will meet with Zelensky in Berlin (Sunday), and then separately with the national security advisors of Germany, France, and Britain.
The Trump administration proposed a peace plan to the Ukrainian side last month, which included several points, among them Kyiv's concession of Donbas and its abandonment of the dream of joining NATO, both of which Moscow has long insisted upon. However, Zelensky later confirmed that he could not legally and constitutionally concede any territory.
