أعلن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب أن إيران أبلغت الولايات المتحدة أنه لا توجد أي رسوم مطلوبة لعبور مضيق هرمز، رغم «التقارير الإعلامية المضللة».
وكتب على منصته «تروث سوشيال»، اليوم الأربعاء: أن طهران أبلغت واشنطن أنه «لا توجد أي رسوم عبور، ولا تكاليف تأمين، ولا أي رسوم أخرى من أي نوع يتم طلبها أو تحصيلها على السفن التي تعبر مضيق هرمز».
وحذّر ترمب من أنه «إذا كانت هذه المعلومات غير صحيحة، فإن المفاوضات ستنتهي فوراً». وأضاف: «كما أوضحت، لم نمنح إيران أي أموال أو نفرج عن أي أموال تعود لها. ما سيتم الإفراج عنه هو جزء من أموالها التي تقع تحت سيطرة واشنطن، وسيتم توجيهها إلى المزارعين ومربي المواشي لشراء الذرة والقمح وفول الصويا وغيرها».
واعتبر أن إيران في حاجة ماسة إلى الغذاء، وإن الإدارة الأمريكية ستشتريه لها من الولايات المتحدة حصراً لتلبية هذه الاحتياجات.
من جانبه، أكد متحدث باسم المنظمة البحرية الدولية التابعة للأمم المتحدة، أن سفناً عبرت بالفعل مضيق هرمز في إطار خطة جديدة لمغادرة السفن أطلقتها المنظمة أخيراً.
وقال المتحدث اليوم «بدأت السفن بالفعل في العبور بموجب الخطة». وأضاف أن سفينتين على الأقل لنقل البضائع الجافة السائبة وسفينة شحن عبرت مضيق هرمز بموجب الخطة خلال الساعات الـ12 الماضية، وإن ما لا يقل عن 35 سفينة تجارية أخرى، معظمها سفن لنقل البضائع الجافة السائبة وسفن شحن وحاويات، تستعد لعبور المضيق.
U.S. President Donald Trump announced that Iran has informed the United States that there are no fees required for passing through the Strait of Hormuz, despite "misleading media reports."
He wrote on his platform "Truth Social" today, Wednesday: that Tehran has informed Washington that "there are no crossing fees, no insurance costs, and no other fees of any kind being requested or collected on ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz."
Trump warned that "if this information is incorrect, negotiations will end immediately." He added: "As I have clarified, we have not given Iran any money nor released any funds belonging to them. What will be released is part of their funds that are under Washington's control, and it will be directed to farmers and ranchers to purchase corn, wheat, soybeans, and others."
He considered that Iran is in urgent need of food, and that the U.S. administration will buy it for them exclusively from the United States to meet these needs.
For his part, a spokesperson for the International Maritime Organization (IMO) of the United Nations confirmed that ships have already crossed the Strait of Hormuz as part of a new plan for ship departures recently launched by the organization.
The spokesperson said today, "Ships have indeed started to cross under the plan." He added that at least two ships for transporting bulk dry goods and a cargo ship have crossed the Strait of Hormuz under the plan in the past 12 hours, and that at least 35 other commercial ships, most of them bulk dry goods carriers and container ships, are preparing to cross the strait.
