تلقى رئيس الوزراء العراقي علي الزيدي إشارات أمريكية ترحب بتعيين سفير عراقي جديد في واشنطن شريطة أن لا ينتمي للفصائل المسلحة.
ووصف مسؤول عراقي لـ«عكاظ» هذه الخطوة بالإيجابية، مؤكدا أن من شأنها مساعدة الحكومة في إدارة علاقاتها مع المؤسسات الأمريكية ومراكز صناعة القرار.
وتوقع تعيين سفير عراقي في واشنطن في أعقاب زيارة الزيدي إلى الولايات المتحدة منتصف شهر يوليو القادم. وقال المسؤول العراقي إن رئيس الوزراء سيحسم بعض الملفات التي تعيق تنظيم العلاقات مع الولايات المتحدة قبل زيارته واجتماعه مع الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب وكبار مسؤولي البيت الأبيض، وفي مقدمتها حصر السلاح بيد الدولة.
وكشف أن رئيس الحكومة سيحسم مع تحالف «الإطار التنسيقي» الأسبوع القادم مسألة إغلاق 12 قاعدة عسكرية تابعة للفصائل العراقية المسلحة.
ويفترض أن يصل الزيدي إلى واشنطن بعدما يكون قد أنجز جزءاً مهماً من خطة إبعاد شخصيات وقيادات مرتبطة بالفصائل عن مواقع حساسة داخل الدولة، في إطار ما تصفه مصادر سياسية بأنه أحد أركان تفاهم ثلاثي مع الولايات المتحدة يقوم على ثلاثة مسارات متوازية: حصر السلاح، تجفيف مصادر التمويل، وإعادة ترتيب مواقع النفوذ داخل مؤسسات الدولة.
وبحسب مصادر قريبة من الحكومة، فإن الزيدي فتح ثلاث جبهات متوازية لتحقيق هدف تقليص النفوذ الإيراني، وهو الهدف الذي تبلور بصورة أوضح خلال زيارة المبعوث الأمريكي توم باراك الأخيرة إلى بغداد.
وتتوزع هذه الجبهات بين المسار الاقتصادي، وإعادة ترتيب الهيكل الإداري للدولة، والإجراءات الميدانية المتعلقة بالفصائل والسلاح.
وتقول المصادر إن الحكومة حققت تقدماً نسبياً في ملف التغييرات الإدارية وإبعاد شخصيات نافذة، فيما لا يزال ملف تفكيك الفصائل يواجه تعقيدات واضحة، كما أن وتيرة التغييرات الإدارية نفسها بدأت تتباطأ بفعل اعتراضات سياسية متزايدة.

An Iraqi official described this step to "Okaz" as positive, confirming that it would help the government manage its relations with American institutions and decision-making centers.
He expected the appointment of an Iraqi ambassador in Washington following Al-Zaydi's visit to the United States in mid-July. The Iraqi official stated that the Prime Minister would resolve some issues that hinder the organization of relations with the United States before his visit and meeting with President Donald Trump and senior White House officials, foremost among them is the restriction of arms to the state.
He revealed that the Prime Minister would finalize with the "Coordination Framework" alliance next week the issue of closing 12 military bases belonging to Iraqi armed factions.
Al-Zaydi is expected to arrive in Washington after he has completed an important part of the plan to remove figures and leaders associated with the factions from sensitive positions within the state, as part of what political sources describe as one of the pillars of a trilateral understanding with the United States based on three parallel tracks: restricting arms, drying up funding sources, and rearranging power positions within state institutions.
According to sources close to the government, Al-Zaydi has opened three parallel fronts to achieve the goal of reducing Iranian influence, a goal that became clearer during the recent visit of American envoy Tom Barak to Baghdad.
These fronts are distributed among the economic track, rearranging the administrative structure of the state, and field measures related to the factions and arms.
The sources say that the government has made relative progress in the file of administrative changes and removing influential figures, while the file of dismantling the factions still faces clear complications, and the pace of administrative changes itself has begun to slow down due to increasing political objections.
