وجّهت أجهزة وزارة الداخلية المصرية ضربة أمنية جديدة إلى عدد من البؤر الإجرامية المتخصصة في جلب وترويج المواد المخدرة والأسلحة النارية غير المرخصة، وأسفرت الحملات عن مصرع 3 عناصر جنائية شديدة الخطورة، وضبط كميات كبيرة من المخدرات والأسلحة في عدد من المحافظات.
وقالت وزارة الداخلية المصرية، في بيان رسمي اليوم (الثلاثاء): «إن معلومات وتحريات قطاعات الأمن العام ومكافحة المخدرات والأسلحة والذخائر غير المرخصة، بالتنسيق مع أجهزة الوزارة المعنية، كشفت عن نشاط بؤر إجرامية تضم عناصر جنائية شديدة الخطورة».
وأوضحت أن تلك العناصر كانت تعمل على جلب كميات من المواد المخدرة والأسلحة النارية غير المرخصة تمهيداً لترويجها والاتجار بها.
وبعد استكمال الإجراءات القانونية اللازمة، جرى استهداف تلك البؤر بمشاركة قوات قطاع الأمن المركزي، وأسفرت العمليات الأمنية عن مقتل 3 عناصر جنائية شديدة الخطورة في محافظتي القليوبية والإسكندرية، فيما تمكنت القوات من ضبط باقي عناصر تلك البؤر الإجرامية.
ووفق وزارة الداخلية، فإن العناصر الثلاثة الذين لقوا مصرعهم سبق اتهامهم والحكم عليهم بالحبس في عدد من الجنايات، من بينها الشروع في القتل، والاتجار بالمخدرات والأسلحة النارية، والسرقة بالإكراه، وهتك العرض، والحريق العمد.
وأسفرت عمليات التفتيش عن ضبط أكثر من نصف طن من المواد المخدرة المتنوعة، إلى جانب نحو 350 ألف قرص مخدر ومؤثر، فضلاً عن 114 قطعة سلاح ناري متنوعة.
وقدرت وزارة الداخلية القيمة المالية للمواد المخدرة المضبوطة بنحو 161 مليون جنيه.
وأكدت الوزارة اتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية اللازمة حيال المتهمين والمضبوطات، في إطار مواصلة جهود الأجهزة الأمنية لملاحقة العناصر الإجرامية المتورطة في الاتجار بالمواد المخدرة والأسلحة النارية غير المرخصة، وتوجيه ضربات استباقية للبؤر الإجرامية بمختلف المحافظات.
The Egyptian Ministry of Interior has launched a new security operation against several criminal hotspots specializing in the trafficking and promotion of illegal narcotics and firearms. The campaigns resulted in the death of 3 highly dangerous criminal elements and the seizure of large quantities of drugs and weapons in several governorates.
The Egyptian Ministry of Interior stated in an official statement today (Tuesday): "Information and investigations from the public security and anti-narcotics and unlicensed firearms sectors, in coordination with the relevant ministry agencies, revealed the activity of criminal hotspots that include highly dangerous criminal elements."
It clarified that these elements were working to bring in quantities of illegal narcotics and firearms in preparation for their promotion and trade.
After completing the necessary legal procedures, these hotspots were targeted with the participation of Central Security Forces, and the security operations resulted in the killing of 3 highly dangerous criminal elements in the Qalyubia and Alexandria governorates, while the forces managed to apprehend the remaining elements of these criminal hotspots.
According to the Ministry of Interior, the three elements who were killed had previously been accused and sentenced to imprisonment in several felonies, including attempted murder, drug trafficking, illegal firearms trade, armed robbery, sexual assault, and arson.
The search operations resulted in the seizure of more than half a ton of various narcotic substances, in addition to about 350,000 narcotic and psychoactive pills, as well as 114 assorted firearms.
The Ministry of Interior estimated the financial value of the seized narcotics at approximately 161 million Egyptian pounds.
The ministry confirmed that necessary legal actions have been taken against the accused and the seized items, as part of ongoing efforts by security agencies to pursue criminal elements involved in the trafficking of illegal narcotics and firearms, and to deliver preemptive strikes against criminal hotspots in various governorates.
