وأكد خضر، في تصريحات صحفية محلية، رفضه لما وصفه باتهامات مرسلة لا تستند إلى دليل، مشيراً إلى أن المذيعة لم تقدم مستنداً طبياً يثبت ما ذكرته، سواء من المستشفى أو الطبيبة التي تابعت الحالة الصحية لياسمين.
وأوضح أنه لن يتجاهل ما صدر بحقه، معلناً عزمه اللجوء إلى القضاء لاتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية اللازمة ومحاسبة صاحبة التصريحات، مؤكداً أن توجيه اتهامات بهذه الخطورة يتطلب أدلة واضحة.

وفي رسالة أخرى، طالب خضر بمنح أسرة ياسمين مساحة خاصة للتعامل مع رحيلها، موضحاً أن الأسرة لا تزال تحت تأثير الصدمة ولم تستوعب فقدانها، داعياً إلى عدم التدخل في تفاصيل حياتهم الشخصية أو مطالبتهم بتقديم تفسيرات عن مشاعرهم وطريقة تعاملهم مع الحزن.
