خيّم الحزن والأسى على الوسط الرياضي والشارع العربي، إثر حادثة سير مروعة على الطريق الرابطة بين مدينتي بنقردان وجرجيس في تونس، وأسفرت عن وفاة مسؤول ولاعب سابق بنادي الاتحاد الرياضي ببنقردان متأثراً بإصاباته البليغة، فيما ترقد زوجته في العناية المركزة.
الفاجعة المباغتة وقعت جراء انزلاق مفاجئ للسيارة التي كان يستقلها الفقيد برفقة زوجته، مما أدى إلى انقلابها وتعرضهما لإصابات شديدة الخطورة، حيث فارق السائق الحياة في عين المكان متأثراً بجراحه قبل التمكن من إنقاذه ونقله إلى المستشفى.
وسارعت وحدات الحماية المدنية بالتدخل الميداني ونقل مرافقة الضحية (زوجته) على جناح السرعة إلى المستشفى الجهوي بجرجيس لتلقي الإسعافات الطبية العاجلة، حيث وصفت المصادر الطبية حالتها الصحية بالحرجة جداً وسط محاولات مضنية للسيطرة على تداعيات الإصابة.
وأثارت المعطيات الأولى للحادثة حالة عارمة من التعاطف والصدمة بين أهالي المنطقة وجماهير النادي، الذين نادوا بالترحم على الفقيد واستحضروا مسيرته الكروية والإدارية الحافلة في خدمة ناديه، بانتظار ما ستسفر عنه التحقيقات الرسمية حول ملابسات الانزلاق الأليم.
Sadness and grief have overshadowed the sports community and the Arab street, following a horrific traffic accident on the road linking the cities of Ben Guerdane and Jerjis in Tunisia, which resulted in the death of an official and former player of the Ben Guerdane Sports Club, who succumbed to his severe injuries, while his wife is in intensive care.
The sudden tragedy occurred due to a sudden skid of the car that the deceased was traveling in with his wife, leading to its overturning and causing them both to suffer severe injuries. The driver lost his life at the scene, affected by his wounds before he could be rescued and taken to the hospital.
The Civil Protection units quickly intervened on the ground and rushed the victim's companion (his wife) to the Jerjis regional hospital for urgent medical assistance, where medical sources described her health condition as very critical amidst strenuous efforts to control the consequences of the injury.
The initial details of the accident sparked a wave of sympathy and shock among the locals and the club's fans, who called for mercy on the deceased and recalled his rich football and administrative career in service of his club, while awaiting the results of the official investigations into the circumstances of the tragic skid.
