ضرب زلزال اليوم بلغت قوته 6.6 درجة على مقياس ريختر جزيرة مينداناو بجنوب الفلبين.
وأفاد المعهد الفلبيني لعلوم البراكين والزلازل (فيفولكس) أن مركز الزلزال كان على عمق 86 كيلومتراً، وأنه من غير المتوقع حدوث أضرار.
وأوضح مدير المعهد تيريسيتو باكولكول، أن هذا الزلزال لا علاقة له بالزلزال الذي بلغت قوته 7.8 درجة وضرب مينداناو في الـ8 من يونيو وكان مركزه على بعد أكثر من 250 كيلومتراً من مركز زلزال اليوم.
وبينت وكالة الدفاع المدني أن عدد القتلى جراء الزلزال القوي الذي وقع الأسبوع الماضي ارتفع إلى 65 شخصاً، ولا يزال 36 شخصاً في عداد المفقودين.
A 6.6 magnitude earthquake struck Mindanao in southern Philippines today.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported that the earthquake's epicenter was at a depth of 86 kilometers, and no damage is expected.
Director Teresito Bacolcol explained that this earthquake is not related to the earthquake that had a magnitude of 7.8 and struck Mindanao on June 8, which was centered more than 250 kilometers away from today's earthquake's epicenter.
The Civil Defense Agency indicated that the number of fatalities from the strong earthquake that occurred last week has risen to 65 people, and 36 individuals are still reported missing.
