أعلنت وزارة التجارة إيقاف وكالة سيارات ومنعها من استيراد المركبات، وتغريمها (8 ملايين و120 ألف ريال) لعدم التزامها بحقوق المستهلك، ومخالفتها نظام الوكالات التجارية ولائحته التنفيذية، وأحكام تقديم الصيانة وتوفير قطع الغيار، وضمان جودة الصنع، وعدم الالتزام بتقديم خدمات ما بعد البيع للمستهلك.
وبحسب بيان للوزارة، جاء ذلك بعد ثبوت ارتكاب الوكالة (175) مخالفة، تمثلت في عدم توفير قطع الغيار لدى الشركة، وعدم التزامها بتوفير مركبات بديلة لهم خلال فترة الصيانة.
تعويضات للمتضررين
وباشر فريق متخصص من الوزارة الوقوف على الخلافات المرصودة والتواصل مع المستهلكين، ومتابعة حصولهم على حقوقهم المتعلقة بصرف التعويضات المستحقة، وتوفير السيارات البديلة للمتضررين.
وتضمنت الإجراءات استدعاء الشركة الصانعة ومتابعة التزامها بتنفيذ التوصيات والإجراءات التصحيحية اللازمة التي أقرتها الوزارة على الوكالة، ومتابعة الالتزام بتنفيذ حملات الاستدعاء، والبدء في نقل العلامة التجارية إلى وكيل آخر، بعد التحقق التام من جاهزيته وقدرته على تقديم الخدمات اللازمة للمستهلكين بمعايير عالية.
وشددت الوزارة على أنها لن تتهاون في تطبيق العقوبات النظامية تجاه أي وكيل يخلّ بالتزاماته تجاه المستهلك، ومن بينها التشهير بهم وفقاً للأحكام النظامية، وبموجب قرار أو حكم قضائي مكتسب القطعية يقضي بنشره.
The Ministry of Commerce announced the suspension of a car dealership and prohibited it from importing vehicles, imposing a fine of (8 million and 120 thousand riyals) for failing to comply with consumer rights, violating the commercial agency system and its executive regulations, the provisions for providing maintenance and spare parts, ensuring quality manufacturing, and failing to provide after-sales services to consumers.
According to a statement from the ministry, this action came after the agency was found to have committed (175) violations, which included not providing spare parts at the company and failing to provide alternative vehicles during the maintenance period.
Compensation for Affected Consumers
A specialized team from the ministry began addressing the reported disputes, communicating with consumers, and ensuring they receive their entitled compensation and alternative vehicles.
The procedures included summoning the manufacturing company and monitoring its compliance with implementing the recommendations and necessary corrective actions mandated by the ministry on the agency, as well as ensuring compliance with recall campaigns and starting the process of transferring the brand to another dealer, after fully verifying its readiness and ability to provide necessary services to consumers with high standards.
The ministry emphasized that it will not tolerate applying legal penalties against any dealer who fails to meet their obligations to consumers, including publicizing their violations in accordance with legal provisions, based on a decision or a final judicial ruling that mandates its publication.
