عاد مؤسس ورئيس مجلس إدارة شركة أوراكل الملياردير لاري إليسون إلى المركز الثالث في قائمة أغنى أغنياء العالم، متجاوزاً جيف بيزوس مؤسس أمازون، وذلك بعد ارتفاع أسهم أوراكل بنسبة 6% إثر إعلان صفقة «تيك توك» مع الشركة ومستثمرين أمريكيين آخرين لتشكيل مشروع مشترك جديد يدير أعمال التطبيق في الولايات المتحدة.
ارتفاع أسهم أوراكل
وارتفعت أسهم أوراكل إلى نحو 190.90 دولار بحلول الساعة 10:30 من صباح الجمعة بتوقيت شرق الولايات المتحدة، بعد أن صعدت بنسبة تصل إلى 4% في التداولات قبل افتتاح السوق.
صفقة «تيك توك»
ويأتي هذا الارتفاع مباشرة بعد إعلان «تيك توك» الخميس الماضي عن توقيع اتفاقية مع أوراكل وشركة سيلفر ليك للاستثمار الخاص وصندوق MGX الإماراتي المملوك للدولة، لتمتلك مجتمعة نحو 45% من أعمال «تيك توك» الأمريكية، مما ينهي المنافسة الطويلة على شراء التطبيق ويجنبه الحظر الوطني.
موعد إغلاق صفقة «تيك توك»
من المتوقع إغلاق الصفقة في 22 يناير القادم، أي قبل يوم واحد فقط من الموعد النهائي لـ«تيك توك» لبيع 80% من أصولها الأمريكية إلى كيان معتمد من الولايات المتحدة.
ثروة لاري إليسون
وبحسب موقع «فوربس» تقدر ثروة إليسون الآن بنحو 244.8 مليار دولار، بعد زيادة قدرها 15 مليار دولار يوم الجمعة وحده.
وكان إليسون قد احتل المركز الثاني سابقاً، بل وأصبح ثاني شخص في التاريخ تتجاوز ثروته 400 مليار دولار في أكتوبر الماضي، لكنه تراجع في الأسابيع الأخيرة بسبب تقلبات أسهم أوراكل.
ويحتل إليسون الآن المركز الثالث خلف لاري بيج (مؤسس قوقل المشارك) بثروة تقدر بـ250.1 مليار دولار، وأمام جيف بيزوس الذي تبلغ ثروته 239 مليار دولار، أما المركز الأول فيظل لإيلون ماسك بثروة هائلة تصل إلى 680.4 مليار دولار.
أوراكل وصفقة «تيك توك»
وبرزت أوراكل كمرشح محتمل لشراء أعمال «تيك توك» في وقت سابق من العام، وسط تقارير تفيد بأنها ستدير بيانات المستخدمين في منشآتها بتكساس تحت شركة أمريكية جديدة، فيما أجل الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب الموعد النهائي عدة مرات لبايت دانس (الشركة الأم الصينية لتيك توك) لبيع أعمالها الأمريكية أو مواجهة الحظر.
وكان ترمب قد أشار سابقاً إلى أن عدة شركات ومستثمرين أمريكيين، بما في ذلك مايكروسوفت و«مجموعة من الأثرياء الكبار»، قد يشترون التطبيق.
وأقر الكونغرس قانوناً في أبريل 2024 يفرض بيعاً أو حظراً، وسط مخاوف أمنية مشتركة بين الحزبين من أن التطبيق يشكل تهديداً للأمن القومي.
وسبق أن أثارت تقارير «فوربس» مخاوف بشأن تجسس «تيك توك» على الصحفيين، نشر دعاية صينية، سوء إدارة بيانات المستخدمين، وتتبع «كلمات حساسة».

Oracle founder and billionaire Larry Ellison has returned to third place on the list of the world's richest people, surpassing Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, following a 6% rise in Oracle's shares after the announcement of a "TikTok" deal with the company and other American investors to form a new joint venture that will manage the app's operations in the United States.

Oracle's shares rose to about $190.90 by 10:30 AM Eastern Time on Friday, after climbing by up to 4% in pre-market trading.
The "TikTok" Deal
This increase comes immediately after "TikTok" announced last Thursday that it had signed an agreement with Oracle and private equity firm Silver Lake and the state-owned MGX fund to collectively own about 45% of TikTok's U.S. operations, ending the long competition to purchase the app and avoiding a national ban.
Closing Date of the "TikTok" Deal
The deal is expected to close on January 22, just one day before TikTok's deadline to sell 80% of its U.S. assets to a U.S.-approved entity.
Larry Ellison's Wealth
According to Forbes, Ellison's wealth is now estimated at about $244.8 billion, after a $15 billion increase on Friday alone.
Ellison had previously held second place and even became the second person in history to surpass a net worth of $400 billion last October, but he has fallen in recent weeks due to fluctuations in Oracle's shares.
Ellison now ranks third behind Larry Page (co-founder of Google) with a net worth of $250.1 billion, and ahead of Jeff Bezos, whose wealth stands at $239 billion, while Elon Musk remains in first place with a staggering net worth of $680.4 billion.
Oracle and the "TikTok" Deal
Oracle emerged as a potential candidate to purchase TikTok's operations earlier this year, amid reports that it would manage user data in its facilities in Texas under a new American company, while President Donald Trump postponed the deadline several times for ByteDance (the Chinese parent company of TikTok) to sell its U.S. operations or face a ban.
Trump had previously indicated that several companies and American investors, including Microsoft and "a group of wealthy individuals," might buy the app.
Congress passed a law in April 2024 imposing a sale or ban, amid bipartisan security concerns that the app poses a threat to national security.
Previous reports by Forbes raised concerns about TikTok spying on journalists, spreading Chinese propaganda, mishandling user data, and tracking "sensitive words."
