هدّد رجل مُسلّح بسكين، اليوم (السبت)، المارة وأصحاب المحلات في شارع نابليون بمدينة أجاكسيو جنوب شرقي فرنسا.
وقالت الشرطة في مدينة أجاكسيو جنوب جزيرة كورسيكا الفرنسية أن الحادثة وقعت حوالى الساعة 12:30 ظهراً بالتوقيت المحلي، مبينة أن عناصرها حاولوا في البداية السيطرة على المسلح باستخدام مسدس صعق كهربائي، غير أن محاولتهم باءت بالفشل.
ونقلت وسائل إعلام فرنسية عن الشرطة قولها: بعد المحاولات الفاشلة أطلق ضابط شرطة النار على المسلح، ما أدى لوفاته متأثراً بجراحه.
بدورها، قالت النيابة العامة الفرنسية أن الرجل البالغ 26 سنة قتل على يد الشرطة، فيما لم يُصب أي شخص آخر بأذى.
من جهة أخرى، حددت محكمة فرنسية 13 أبريل 2026 لإصدار حكم في قضية شركة «لافارج» بتهمة تمويل مجموعات متشددة من بينها تنظيم داعش الإرهابي في سورية حتى عام 2014، لتأمين استمرار العمل في مصنعها للإسمنت هناك.
وأقرت الشركة في أكتوبر 2022، بدفع نحو 6 ملايين دولار لتنظيم داعش الإرهابي وجبهة النصرة، ووافقت على دفع غرامة قدرها 778 مليون دولار.
A man armed with a knife threatened passersby and shop owners on Napoleon Street in the city of Ajaccio, southeastern France, today (Saturday).
The police in Ajaccio, located in the southern part of the French island of Corsica, stated that the incident occurred around 12:30 PM local time, indicating that their officers initially attempted to subdue the armed man using a Taser, but their attempt failed.
French media reported the police saying: After the failed attempts, a police officer shot the assailant, resulting in his death from his injuries.
For its part, the French public prosecutor's office stated that the 26-year-old man was killed by the police, while no one else was harmed.
On another note, a French court has set April 13, 2026, to issue a ruling in the case of the company "Lafarge" on charges of financing extremist groups, including the terrorist organization ISIS in Syria until 2014, to ensure the continued operation of its cement plant there.
The company admitted in October 2022 to paying about 6 million dollars to the terrorist organization ISIS and the al-Nusra Front, and agreed to pay a fine of 778 million dollars.
