أُصيب 3 من أفراد الشرطة، إثر انفجار طرد مشبوه داخل كلية الدرك العليا في بوينس أيرس، وفق ما أعلنت وزارة الأمن القومي الأرجنتينية.
إصابات وحروق
ونُقل عنصران إلى المستشفى بعد تعرضهما لحروق جراء الانفجار، بينما تلقى العنصر الثالث العلاج في موقع الحادثة.
طرد مؤجل
بحسب بيان رسمي، كان العناصر يتعاملون مع طرد وصل قبل أشهر وظل مخزّنًا داخل المنشأة. وعند فتحه، دوّى الانفجار بشكل مفاجئ.
مقر الحكومة
المبنى الذي شهد الحادثة يقع على بُعد نحو 800 متر فقط من مقر الحكومة، ما ضاعف من حساسية الموقف الأمني.
طوق أمني
وأغلقت الشرطة الشوارع المحيطة، وأخلت عدة مبانٍ سكنية في المربع ذاته، فيما انتشرت وحدة تفكيك المتفجرات في المكان تحسبًا لأي تهديد إضافي.
الهدف المحتمل
وذكرت صحيفة «لا ناسيون» أن الطرد كان موجّهًا إلى مدير سابق للكلية، وهو من بين المصابين في الحادثة.
وجاء في البيان: «كان العناصر يتعاملون مع طرد تم استلامه قبل أشهر وكان مخزّنا في المنشأة. وعند فتحه، وقع انفجار».
Three police officers were injured following the explosion of a suspicious package inside the Higher Police College in Buenos Aires, according to the Argentine National Security Ministry.
Injuries and Burns
Two officers were taken to the hospital after suffering burns from the explosion, while the third officer received treatment at the scene of the incident.
Delayed Package
According to an official statement, the officers were dealing with a package that had arrived months ago and had been stored inside the facility. When it was opened, the explosion occurred suddenly.
Government Headquarters
The building where the incident took place is located just about 800 meters from the government headquarters, which heightened the sensitivity of the security situation.
Security Cordons
The police closed off the surrounding streets and evacuated several residential buildings in the same block, while a bomb disposal unit was deployed to the area in anticipation of any additional threats.
Potential Target
The newspaper "La Nación" reported that the package was addressed to a former director of the college, who is among the injured in the incident.
The statement read: "The officers were dealing with a package that was received months ago and had been stored in the facility. When it was opened, an explosion occurred."
