أعلنت منظمة الصحة العالمية، التزامها بالبقاء في مدينة غزة، رغم مطالبة سلطات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي سكان المدينة بمغادرتها إلى جنوب القطاع.
وفي بيان نشرته المنظمة عبر منصة «إكس»، أكدت استمرار وجودها وشركائها في غزة، معبرة عن استنكارها لأوامر الإخلاء الإسرائيلية، مُشيرًة إلى أن المنطقة المسماة «الإنسانية» في جنوب القطاع، والتي حددتها إسرائيل، تفتقر إلى الخدمات الكافية لدعم سكانها الحاليين، فضلاً عن الوافدين الجدد.
انهيار النظام الصحي في غزة
وحذرت منظمة الصحة العالمية من أن النظام الصحي في القطاع لن يتحمل فقدان أي من المرافق الصحية المتبقية، موضحة أن التجارب السابقة أظهرت سرعة تعطل المستشفيات عندما يعيق القتال وصول المرضى، ويمنع تحرك سيارات الإسعاف، ويقطع إمدادات المنظمة وشركائها.
إسرائيل تدعو سكان غزة للمغادرة
وكانت قوات الاحتلال قد دعت، أمس، سكان غزة لمغادرة المدينة فورًا، محذرة من هجوم واسع النطاق للسيطرة على المنطقة.
وأعربت منظمة الصحة العالمية عن صدمتها إزاء أمر الإخلاء الأخير، الذي يطالب بنقل مليون شخص من غزة إلى المنطقة الإنسانية في الجنوب، والتي لا تملك القدرة أو الخدمات اللازمة لاستيعاب العدد الحالي من السكان، ناهيك عن الوافدين الجدد، بما في ذلك الرعاية الصحية.
وأوضحت المنظمة أن نصف المستشفيات العاملة في القطاع تقع في مدينة غزة، وتشمل 36% من أسرّة المستشفيات و50% من أسرّة العناية المركزة في القطاع بأكمله.
وأكدت أن النظام الصحي المنهك لا يمكنه تحمل خسارة أي من هذه المرافق، مضيفًة أن المستشفيات في غزة تواجه ضغوطًا هائلة، حيث تحولت إلى أجنحة طوارئ مكتظة بالجرحى، مع نقص حاد في الأسرّة والإمدادات الأساسية.
ورغم أن أوامر الإخلاء الأخيرة لم تشمل المستشفيات حتى الآن، إلا أن التجارب السابقة تكشف مدى سرعة توقف هذه المرافق عن العمل عندما يعرقل القتال وصول المرضى، ويمنع سيارات الإسعاف من التحرك، ويعيق إمدادات المنظمة وشركائها.
رسائل الصحة العالمية للمجتمع الدولي وسكان غزة
ووجهت المنظمة رسالة إلى المدنيين في غزة، مؤكدة بقاءها وشركاءها في المدينة، كما دعت المجتمع الدولي إلى اتخاذ إجراءات فورية، تشمل المطالبة بوقف إطلاق النار، واحترام القانون الإنساني الدولي، بما في ذلك إطلاق سراح الرهائن والمحتجزين تعسفيًا، وتسهيل وصول المساعدات المنقذة للحياة والخدمات الأساسية دون قيود.
كما طالبت بحماية الرعاية الصحية والعاملين في المجال الإنساني والمدنيين، مؤكدة أن هذه الكارثة من صنع الإنسان، وأن المسؤولية تقع على عاتق الجميع.
The World Health Organization announced its commitment to remain in Gaza City, despite the demand from the Israeli occupation authorities for residents to leave the city for the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
In a statement published by the organization via the "X" platform, it confirmed the continued presence of itself and its partners in Gaza, expressing its condemnation of the Israeli evacuation orders, noting that the area designated as "humanitarian" in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, as defined by Israel, lacks sufficient services to support its current residents, let alone the new arrivals.
Collapse of the Health System in Gaza
The World Health Organization warned that the health system in the Gaza Strip cannot withstand the loss of any remaining health facilities, explaining that previous experiences have shown how quickly hospitals become non-functional when fighting obstructs patient access, prevents ambulances from moving, and disrupts supplies to the organization and its partners.
Israel Calls on Gaza Residents to Leave
Yesterday, the occupation forces called on the residents of Gaza to leave the city immediately, warning of a large-scale attack to take control of the area.
The World Health Organization expressed its shock at the recent evacuation order, which demands the relocation of one million people from Gaza to the humanitarian area in the south, which lacks the capacity or necessary services to accommodate the current population, let alone new arrivals, including healthcare.
The organization clarified that half of the operational hospitals in the Gaza Strip are located in Gaza City, accounting for 36% of hospital beds and 50% of intensive care unit beds in the entire sector.
It emphasized that the exhausted health system cannot afford to lose any of these facilities, adding that hospitals in Gaza are under immense pressure, having turned into overcrowded emergency wings filled with the wounded, with a severe shortage of beds and essential supplies.
Although the recent evacuation orders have not yet included hospitals, past experiences reveal how quickly these facilities cease to function when fighting hinders patient access, prevents ambulances from moving, and disrupts supplies to the organization and its partners.
World Health Organization Messages to the International Community and Gaza Residents
The organization sent a message to civilians in Gaza, reaffirming its and its partners' presence in the city, and called on the international community to take immediate action, including demanding a ceasefire, respecting international humanitarian law, including the release of hostages and arbitrarily detained individuals, and facilitating unrestricted access to life-saving assistance and essential services.
It also called for the protection of healthcare, humanitarian workers, and civilians, emphasizing that this is a man-made disaster, and that responsibility lies with everyone.
