في إطار جهود تحالف دعم الشرعية بقيادة المملكة العربية السعودية المستمر لدعم الاقتصاد اليمني، يجري عصر اليوم (السبت) في محافظة أبين وضع حجر الأساس للمدينة الاقتصادية الجديدة التي ستقام في منطقة العلم بحضور عدد من المسؤولين في الحكومة اليمنية.
وصُمِّمت المدينة لتكون مركزاً إقليمياً للتجارة والصناعة والخدمات اللوجستية والسياحية، بطاقة استيعابية تُقدَّر بنحو 2.3 مليون نسمة، مع توفير نحو 575 ألف فرصة عمل مباشرة وغير مباشرة، بما يعزز التنمية الاقتصادية ويخلق بيئة استثمارية متقدمة.
وتقع المدينة، التي أعلن عنها مستشار قائد قوات التحالف العربي فلاح الشهراني الأسبوع الماضي، على مساحة قدرها 23 ألف فدان، وعلى قناة مائية طولها 26,600 متر، وبمساحة 4,004,162 متراً مربعاً.
وتقع منطقة الداون تاون على مساحة 2437 فداناً، كما أن المدينة الصناعية على مساحة 2587 فداناً، فيما ستكون هناك مدينة المعارض الدولية على مساحة 424 فداناً، والحدائق المركزية على مساحة 530 فداناً، فضلاً عن المدينة الجامعية التي تقع على مساحة 226 فداناً، كما أن المدينة الطبية ستكون على مساحة 122 فداناً، والمدينة الدبلوماسية على مساحة 103 أفدنة، في حين ستكون هناك مولات ومراكز تجارية على مساحة 564.5 فدان.
وسيتم تزويد المدينة الصناعية والتجارية بمحطة كهرباء خاصة لضمان استدامة الطاقة، وشبكات صرف صحي متكاملة ومحطات معالجة حديثة وفق المعايير البيئية.
وتعد المدينة الصناعية والتجارية مشروعاً حضرياً متكاملاً يهدف إلى إنشاء بيئة عصرية تجمع بين السكن والعمل والاستثمار والترفيه، ضمن نموذج تنموي مستدام يدعم النمو الاقتصادي ويواكب تطورات المدن الذكية عالمياً.
وكان مستشار قائد قوات التحالف فلاح الزهراني قد أعلن في 17 فبراير الماضي اجتماعاً عقده مع رجال الأعمال ورئيس الغرفة التجارية في محافظة أبين، موضحاً أنه سيتم وضع حجر الأساس للمدينة الاقتصادية الجديدة في أبين (العلم) على مساحة أكثر من ٢٣ ألف فدان كمشروع استثماري كبير تقوده شركة سرمد.
وأشار إلى أن شركة مدينة أحلام الشرق تبرعت بأرض مساحتها ٥٠ فداناً مع مخططاتها مخصصة لأسر الشهداء، لافتاً إلى أن شركات «أحلام الشرق ومدينة سماء الخليج العربي وسرمد» ستقوم بإزالة الكثبان الرملية والعوائق على الطريق الدولي بين العلم وزنجبار كمبادرة دون مقابل.
وأشار إلى أنه سيتم منح تخفيض ٣٠٪ للمعلمين في محافظة أبين من قيمة العقار السكني في مدينة أحلام الشرق ومدينة سماء الخليج العربي.
As part of the ongoing efforts of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to support the Yemeni economy, the foundation stone for the new economic city will be laid today (Saturday) in Abyan Governorate, in the presence of several officials from the Yemeni government.
The city is designed to be a regional center for trade, industry, logistics, and tourism, with a capacity estimated at around 2.3 million people, providing approximately 575,000 direct and indirect job opportunities, thereby enhancing economic development and creating an advanced investment environment.
The city, announced by the advisor to the leader of the Arab Coalition Forces, Falah Al-Shahrani, last week, will cover an area of 23,000 acres, along a water canal measuring 26,600 meters, with a total area of 4,004,162 square meters.
The downtown area will span 2,437 acres, while the industrial city will cover 2,587 acres. There will also be an international exhibition city covering 424 acres, central gardens covering 530 acres, and a university city spanning 226 acres. Additionally, the medical city will be on an area of 122 acres, and the diplomatic city will cover 103 acres, while there will be malls and commercial centers on an area of 564.5 acres.
The industrial and commercial city will be equipped with a dedicated power station to ensure energy sustainability, integrated sewage networks, and modern treatment plants in accordance with environmental standards.
The industrial and commercial city is considered a comprehensive urban project aimed at creating a modern environment that combines housing, work, investment, and entertainment, within a sustainable development model that supports economic growth and keeps pace with global smart city developments.
Advisor to the Coalition Forces Commander, Falah Al-Zahrani, announced on February 17 that he held a meeting with businessmen and the head of the Chamber of Commerce in Abyan Governorate, clarifying that the foundation stone for the new economic city in Abyan (Al-Alam) will be laid on an area of more than 23,000 acres as a large investment project led by Sarmad Company.
He noted that the Dream City Company donated a plot of land measuring 50 acres along with its plans designated for the families of martyrs, pointing out that the companies "Dreams of the East, Gulf Sky City, and Sarmad" will remove sand dunes and obstacles on the international road between Al-Alam and Zinjibar as an initiative at no cost.
He indicated that a 30% discount will be granted to teachers in Abyan Governorate on the value of residential property in Dream City and Gulf Sky City.
