أعلن نادي بنفيكا البرتغالي إيقاف 5 من مشجعيه لارتكابهم سلوكيات عنصرية خلال مباراته ضد ريال مدريد في ذهاب الملحق المؤهل إلى دور الـ16 من بطولة دوري أبطال أوروبا.
وشهدت المباراة واقعة مثيرة للجدل، حيث اتهم نجم ريال مدريد فينيسيوس جونيور لاعب بنفيكا جيانلوكا بريستياني بتوجيه إهانة عنصرية عقب إحراز النجم البرازيلي هدف التقدم للميرينغي، كما صدرت تصرفات عنصرية من مدرجات الفريق البرتغالي.

وأوضح نادي بنفيكا في بيان أنه أوقف 5 أعضاء وألغى بطاقات حضورهم بعد بدء إجراءات تأديبية قد تؤدي إلى تطبيق أقصى عقوبة منصوص عليها في النظام الأساسي، وهي المنع النهائي من حضور المباريات.

يُذكر أن ريال مدريد أطاح بفريق بنفيكا من دوري أبطال أوروبا، بعد الفوز عليه 3-1 بمجموع مباراتي الذهاب والإياب.
