في حادثة مروعة هزت الأوساط الرياضية والمجتمع المصري، كشفت الأجهزة الأمنية المصرية عن ملابسات مقتل بطل السباقات الدولي ومنظم فعاليات الأوتوكروس، هيثم سمير، الذي لقي مصرعه، الإثنين، إثر إصابته بطلق ناري في محافظة القليوبية شمال القاهرة بسبب نزاع على قطعة أرض.
ووفقا لبيان رسمي من وزارة الداخلية المصرية، تلقت مديرية أمن القليوبية بلاغا من أحد المستشفيات بوصول هيثم سمير، مالك إحدى الشركات وصاحب مركز خدمات سيارات، في حالة وفاة إثر إصابته بعيار ناري، وبعد التحقيقات الأولية، تبين أن الحادث وقع في دائرة مركز شرطة قليوب أثناء زيارة هيثم وشريكه قطعة أرض مملوكة للضحية.
وأوضح شريك المجني عليه أن مشادة كلامية اندلعت بين هيثم ونجل الحارس الخصوصي للأرض، بسبب رغبة هيثم في إنهاء خدمات والد المتهم. تطورت المشادة إلى مشاجرة عنيفة، قام خلالها الجاني، وهو عامل يقيم في المنطقة، بإطلاق عيار ناري من بندقية خرطوش كانت بحوزته، ما أدى إلى مقتل هيثم سمير على الفور.
وتمكنت الأجهزة الأمنية من القبض على المتهم في الحال، وضُبط بحوزته السلاح الناري المستخدم في الجريمة، وباشرت النيابة العامة التحقيقات، حيث تم تحرير محضر بالواقعة، واتخذت الإجراءات القانونية اللازمة لتقديم المتهم للمحاكمة.
ويُعد هيثم سمير واحدا من أبرز الأسماء في عالم سباقات السيارات في مصر والمنطقة العربية، واشتهر بتنظيم فعاليات الأوتوكروس، وهي رياضة تجمع بين السرعة والمهارة، وحقق شهرة واسعة بمشاركته في بطولات دولية مثل «ريد بُل كار بارك دريفت»، حيث مثل مصر في نهائيات إقليمية وحصد لقب «بطل الانجراف».

In a horrific incident that shook the sports community and Egyptian society, Egyptian security authorities revealed the circumstances surrounding the murder of international racing champion and autocross event organizer, Haitham Samir, who was killed on Monday after being shot in Qalyubia province, north of Cairo, due to a dispute over a piece of land.
According to an official statement from the Egyptian Ministry of Interior, the Qalyubia Security Directorate received a report from a hospital about the arrival of Haitham Samir, the owner of a company and a car service center, in a state of death due to a gunshot wound. After preliminary investigations, it was found that the incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Qalyub police station while Haitham and his partner were visiting a piece of land owned by the victim.
Haitham's partner explained that a verbal altercation broke out between Haitham and the son of the private guard of the land, due to Haitham's desire to terminate the services of the accused's father. The altercation escalated into a violent brawl, during which the perpetrator, a worker residing in the area, fired a shot from a shotgun he possessed, resulting in the immediate death of Haitham Samir.
The security authorities were able to apprehend the suspect immediately, and the firearm used in the crime was seized. The public prosecution began investigations, a report was filed regarding the incident, and the necessary legal measures were taken to bring the suspect to trial.
Haitham Samir is considered one of the most prominent names in the world of car racing in Egypt and the Arab region, known for organizing autocross events, a sport that combines speed and skill. He gained wide fame by participating in international championships such as the "Red Bull Car Park Drift," where he represented Egypt in regional finals and won the title of "Drift Champion."
This incident comes amid ongoing security efforts to curb such crimes, as authorities work to enhance legal measures for resolving disputes and protecting lives and property.
