علّق مدرب الاتحاد، البرتغالي سيرجيو كونسيساو، على أزمة غياب نجم الفريق، الفرنسي كريم بنزيما، عن المواجهة التي أقيمت أمام الفتح مساء (الخميس)، ضمن منافسات دوري روشن السعودي، وانتهت بالتعادل 2-2.
وبحسب شبكة «فوت ميركاتو» الفرنسية، فإن بنزيما رفض المشاركة في اللقاء، بسبب عدم رضاه عن العرض المقدم له من أجل تجديد عقده، والذي ينتهي بنهاية الموسم الحالي.
كونسيساو يوضح موقفه
وقال كونسيساو، في تصريحات صحفية، تعليقاً على سبب غياب بنزيما: «عليكم أن تسألوا النادي، أنا هنا للتدريب، والتحضير للمباريات، وتحقيق النتائج، والفوز بالألقاب، الباقي خارج نطاق عملي».
وأضاف المدرب البرتغالي: «ما أستطيع قوله هو أن كريم بنزيما محترف ممتاز ولاعب رائع أفتخر بتدريبه».
مسيرة بنزيما مع الاتحاد
يُذكر أن كريم بنزيما انضم إلى صفوف الاتحاد في عام 2023 في صفقة انتقال حر، عقب نهاية عقده مع ريال مدريد، ومنذ ذلك الحين، خاض 83 مباراة في مختلف المسابقات، سجل خلالها 54 هدفاً، وقدم 17 تمريرة حاسمة، كما تُوج مع الفريق ببطولتي الدوري السعودي وكأس الملك في الموسم الماضي.

According to the French network "Foot Mercato," Benzema refused to participate in the match due to his dissatisfaction with the offer made to him for renewing his contract, which ends at the end of the current season.
Conceição Clarifies His Position
Conceição stated in press remarks regarding Benzema's absence: "You should ask the club; I am here to train, prepare for matches, achieve results, and win titles; the rest is outside my scope of work."
The Portuguese coach added: "What I can say is that Karim Benzema is an excellent professional and a wonderful player I am proud to coach."

It is worth noting that Karim Benzema joined Al-Ittihad in 2023 on a free transfer after the end of his contract with Real Madrid. Since then, he has played 83 matches in various competitions, scoring 54 goals and providing 17 assists, and he also won the Saudi League and King’s Cup titles with the team last season.
