بعد خسارة المنتخب السعودي من نصف نهائي بطولة كأس العرب أمام منتخب الأردن بهدف دون مقابل. رصدت «عكاظ» عدداً من تغريدات رياضيين وإعلاميين بارزين، عبروا فيها عن استيائهم الشديد لخروج «الأخضر» من البطولة.
البكيري: «اللهم أجرنا في مصيبتنا»
قال الناقد الرياضي محمد البكيري: «اللهم أجرنا في مصيبتنا في المنتخب السعودي المختطف من عشوائيات قرارات اتحاد الكرة». وأضاف: «اتحاد المسحل، أبو إستراتيجيات فوضوية على مدى 6 سنوات من وقت وميزانية تاريخية مهدرة، ومع ذلك جاثم على قلوبنا المحسورة على منتخبنا الهش، في أسوأ حقبة لاتحاد كرة. ومن هم الأقل إمكانيات ومالاً، والأفضل تخطيطاً، طالوا ونالوا». وقال: «مبروك لأشقائنا الأردن قيادة وشعباً ومنتخباً، تأهل منتخب النشامى إلى نهائي البطولة العربية والذي كان الأفضل طوال البطولة، ويستحق اللقب، حتى بغياب (7) من محترفيه الدوليين، برفقة منتخب المغرب (المشروع) الذي شارك بالصف الثالث، وقد يحمل الكأس».
الزهراني: «إكمال مؤلم لسنوات الغياب»
وقال الكاتب علي الزهراني: «خسارة أخرى وفقدان بطولة وإكمال مؤلم لسنوات الغياب عن الإنجازات». وأضاف: «منتخبنا يحتاج عملاً كبيراً، يبدأ بتقليص عدد الأجانب ومنح الفرصة لمشاركة أكبر عدد من اللاعبين المحليين في الدوري، وهذه أبرز الحلول».
المطيويع: «لاعبون لا يستحقون الأخضر»
قال الإعلامي سلمان المطيويع: «مع الأسف أضعناها بسهولة، حيث كانت البطولة في المتناول فيما قدمت كشف حساب لاعبين لا يستحقون اللعب للأخضر مع مدرب جبان».
الشمراني: «ارحل غير مأسوف عليك»
قال الكاتب أحمد الشمراني: «ارحل غير مأسوف عليك يا رينارد». وأضاف: «منتخبنا لا يملك مدرباً ومن الدوحة يجب أن يتخذ القرار».
الهريفي: «عدم توفّر الحلول الفردية»
قال لاعب النصر والمنتخب السعودي سابقاً فهد الهريفي: «غياب المنهجية الواضحة، وعدم توفّر الحلول الفردية، يُعدّان من أبرز عيوب المنتخب السعودي».
جستنيه: «قاتل الله العناد»
قال الإعلامي عدنان جستنيه: «قاتل الله العناد.. يا ما كتبنا، ويا ما تحدثنا، ويا ما انتقدنا، ويا ما غردنا، والمشكلة لا تقتصر فقط على منتخب، ولا تخص المدرب أو اللاعبين، إنما هي أكبر من ذلك بكثير، حيث المشكلة في القرار ومن يتخذون القرار، وليست وليدة اليوم، إنما لها سنوات». وأضاف: «يذهب اتحاد ويأتي آخر، والأخطاء تتكرر، وتتفاقم، وأعذار ووعود». وقال: «الأخضر في خطر».

Former Al-Nasr and Saudi national team player Fahd Al-Harifi said: "The absence of a clear methodology and the lack of individual solutions are among the most prominent flaws of the Saudi national team."
Jastaniah: "May God fight stubbornness"
Media figure Adnan Jastaniah said: "May God fight stubbornness... how much we have written, how much we have spoken, how much we have criticized, and how much we have tweeted, and the problem is not limited to just the national team, nor is it specific to the coach or players, but it is much bigger than that, as the problem lies in the decision and those who make the decisions, and it is not a recent issue, but has been ongoing for years."
