استهل الريان القطري مشواره في بطولة دوري الخليج للأندية الأبطال بانتصار عريض على تضامن حضرموت اليمني بخمسة أهداف دون رد، في اللقاء الذي أقيم مساء اليوم (الأربعاء) على استاد أحمد بن علي بنادي الريان، ضمن الجولة الأولى من مباريات المجموعة الثانية.
فرض الريان سيطرته منذ البداية، وترجم أفضليته بهدفين مبكرين للنجم البرازيلي روجر غيديس في الدقيقتين 17 و29، بعد أداء هجومي متواصل قاده مع زميله ميتروفيتش، وسط تراجع دفاعي للفريق اليمني الذي اكتفى بمحاولات الحد من الخطورة.
ومع بداية الشوط الثاني، واصل الريان ضغطه الهجومي ليضيف الهدف الثالث في الدقيقة 47 بعدما حول المدافع اليمني أيوب التلال الكرة خطأ في مرماه إثر عرضية من روجر. ثم جاء الدور على رودريغو ليسجل الهدف الرابع بالدقيقة 67 من كرة عرضية مثالية لميتروفيتش.
حاول تضامن حضرموت تقليص الفارق عبر بعض المحاولات، أبرزها تسديدة عادل عباس التي تصدى لها حارس الريان ببراعة، غير أن الكلمة الأخيرة كانت للريان، إذ اختتم ميتروفيتش مهرجان الأهداف برأسية قوية في الدقيقة 96، ليؤكد الفريق القطري تفوقه وجاهزيته للمنافسة بقوة على اللقب.
وبهذه النتيجة يحقق الريان أول ثلاث نقاط فرق المجموعة، ويليه الشباب السعودي والنهضة العماني بنقطة لكل منهما، فيما يتذيل تضامن حضرموت جدول الترتيب دون نقاط.

The Qatari Al Rayyan began its journey in the Gulf Clubs Champions League with a resounding victory over Yemen's Tadamun Hadramout, winning five goals to none, in a match held this evening (Wednesday) at Ahmad bin Ali Stadium of Al Rayyan, as part of the first round of Group B matches.
Al Rayyan imposed its control from the start, translating its superiority into two early goals by Brazilian star Roger Guedes in the 17th and 29th minutes, following continuous attacking play led by him and his teammate Mitrovic, amidst a defensive retreat from the Yemeni team that limited itself to attempts to reduce the danger.
With the start of the second half, Al Rayyan continued its attacking pressure, adding the third goal in the 47th minute after Yemeni defender Ayoub Al-Talal mistakenly turned the ball into his own net following a cross from Roger. Then it was Rodrigo's turn to score the fourth goal in the 67th minute from a perfect cross to Mitrovic.
Tadamun Hadramout tried to reduce the deficit through some attempts, the most notable being a shot from Adel Abbas that was brilliantly saved by Al Rayyan's goalkeeper, but the final word belonged to Al Rayyan, as Mitrovic concluded the goal festival with a powerful header in the 96th minute, confirming the Qatari team's superiority and readiness to compete strongly for the title.
With this result, Al Rayyan secures the first three points of the group, followed by Saudi Al Shabab and Oman's Al Nahda with one point each, while Tadamun Hadramout sits at the bottom of the standings with no points.
