Al-Fayha defeated its host Al-Fateh with a score of two goals to one in the match that took place at Al-Fateh Club's stadium in Al-Ahsa as part of the first round of the Roshan Saudi Professional League.
The goals for Al-Fayha were scored by Jason Remisero (15') and Alfa Semedo (45+4'), while Al-Fateh's goal came from Zaidou Youssef (45+12'). The referee of the match, Abdullah Al-Harbi, showed two red cards; Al-Fateh player Mohamed Amin Sabahi received a direct red card (21'), while Al-Fayha player Khaled Al-Ramah received two yellow cards, leading the referee to issue him a red card (28').
The match began with an early dominance from the home team, Al-Fateh, while Al-Fayha relied on defense and counter-attacks. After a skillful display from Fashion Sakala, the star of Al-Fayha, he passed the ball to his teammate Jason Remisero, who found the net with his right foot (15'). After the goal, Al-Fateh tried to get back into the match, but their player Mohamed Amin Sabahi committed a foul against Ali Al-Hussein, receiving a yellow card. After reviewing the video technology, referee Abdullah Al-Harbi canceled the yellow card and issued a direct red card instead. Following this, an Al-Fayha player committed two consecutive fouls, resulting in the referee showing him a yellow card and then a red card, leaving both teams to finish the match with ten players each. From a corner kick, Al-Fayha player Alfa Semedo capitalized on a mistake by Al-Fateh goalkeeper Amin Bukhari to put the ball in the net for Al-Fayha's second goal (45+4'). Just before the referee announced the end of the first half, Sofiane Bendebka passed the ball to his teammate Zaidou Youssef, who shot from outside the penalty area to score a goal for Al-Fateh (45+12'). The score remained unchanged in the second half despite Al-Fateh's serious attempts and the excellent performance of Al-Fayha goalkeeper Orlando Mosquera, particularly in saving a shot from Matias Vargas, which he deflected for a corner kick. The match ended with Al-Fayha winning two goals to one.
With this result, Al-Fayha achieves its first victory and earns 3 points, and will face its host Al-Khaleej in the next round, while Al-Fateh suffers its first loss and remains without points, set to visit Al-Ittihad in the upcoming round.
