علمت «عكاظ» من مصادرها الخاصة أن ملف عودة لعبة كرة السلة في النادي الأهلي أخذت منحنى جدياً، عقب قرار مجلس إدارة شركة النادي الأهلي إلغاءها في وقت سابق.
وكشفت مصادر «عكاظ» أن الساعات القليلة الماضية شهدت عددًا من الاتصالات والمباحثات بين الاتحاد السعودي لكرة السلة واللجنة التنفيذية بالنادي الأهلي، لبحث سبل عودة لعبة كرة السلة بالنادي للمشاركة في منافسات الدوري، وتركزت المباحثات حول تجاوز التحديات والمخاطر الحالية، إلى جانب العمل على تحسين ميزانية اللعبة، بما يضمن عودتها بصورة مناسبة واستمرار مشاركتها في الموسم القادم.
وكانت «عكاظ» قد انفردت في 25 مايو الماضي بفتح ملف إلغاء النادي الأهلي ألعابه المختلفة، قبل أن يعلن النادي قراره بتعليق نشاط الفريق الأول في لعبة كرة السلة وكرة اليد في النادي، والاكتفاء بلعبة كرة الطائرة في الألعاب المختلفة.
"Okaz" learned from its private sources that the file for the return of basketball at Al-Ahli Club has taken a serious turn, following the decision of the club's board of directors to cancel it earlier.
Sources from "Okaz" revealed that the past few hours have witnessed a number of calls and discussions between the Saudi Basketball Federation and the executive committee of Al-Ahli Club, to explore ways to bring back basketball at the club to participate in league competitions. The discussions focused on overcoming current challenges and risks, as well as working to improve the budget for the sport, ensuring its suitable return and continued participation in the upcoming season.
“Okaz” had exclusively reported on May 25 that the file for the cancellation of Al-Ahli Club's various sports was opened, before the club announced its decision to suspend the first team’s activities in basketball and handball, and to limit itself to volleyball in its various sports.
