أعلنت هيئة عمليات التجارة البحرية البريطانية (UKMTO)، اليوم (الأحد)، تعرض سفينة لمقذوف مجهول أثناء عبورها مضيق هرمز.
وقالت الهيئة إنها تلقت بلاغاً يفيد بإصابة السفينة بمقذوف مجهول خلال عبورها الممر المائي، دون أن تكشف في تقريرها الأولي عن هوية السفينة أو نوعها.
وأوضحت أن حالة أفراد الطاقم وحجم الأضرار التي لحقت بالسفينة، إضافة إلى الآثار البيئية المحتملة للحادث، لا تزال غير معروفة حتى الآن.
ولم تحدد الهيئة في بيانها مصدر المقذوف أو الجهة المسؤولة عن الحادث.
The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) announced today (Sunday) that a ship was struck by an unknown projectile while transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
The agency stated that it received a report indicating that the ship was hit by an unknown projectile during its passage through the waterway, without disclosing the identity or type of the vessel in its initial report.
It clarified that the condition of the crew members and the extent of the damage to the ship, in addition to the potential environmental impacts of the incident, remain unknown at this time.
The agency did not specify in its statement the source of the projectile or the party responsible for the incident.
