أكد لاعب منتخب المغرب عيسى ديوب، صاحب هدف التعادل في الوقت القاتل أمام هولندا، أن تأهل منتخب بلاده إلى دور الـ16 من بطولة كأس العالم 2026 هو إنجاز يهديه إلى الشعب المغربي والجماهير المغربية.
وقال ديوب: «أبارك للجماهير المغربية هذا التأهل، المباراة كانت صعبة، تقدم المنتخب الهولندي في النتيجة، لكننا لم نستسلم، واصلنا الضغط خلال مجريات المباراة حتى تحقق هدف التعادل الذي من خلاله وصلنا إلى ركلات الترجيح».
وأشاد ديوب بالحارس ياسين بونو، مؤكدًا أنه حارس كبير، وأن ثقة اللاعبين كانت كبيرة فيه، وأضاف: «كنا نؤمن بقدراته».
وحول مواجهة المنتخب الكندي في دور الـ16، أوضح ديوب أن المنتخب الكندي منتخب كبير، وأن المباراة لن تكون سهلة، مشددًا على ضرورة الاستعداد الجيد لهذه المواجهة.

Diop praised goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, affirming that he is a great keeper and that the players had great confidence in him, adding: "We believed in his abilities."
