أبدى حارس الأهلي عبدالرحمن الصانبي سعادته بمواصلة فريقه مشواره في كأس خادم الحرمين الشريفين، عقب تجاوز الأنوار، مؤكداً أن الظروف المناخية زادت من صعوبة المواجهة، في الوقت الذي نجح الفريق الأهلاوي في حسم بطاقة التأهل خلال الشوط الثاني.
وقال الصانبي في تصريحات فضائية عقب المباراة: «ما كنا قادرين نتنفس بسبب الجو»، مشيراً إلى أن لاعبي الأهلي تحدثوا في ما بينهم خلال فترة الاستراحة عن ضرورة رفع مستوى التركيز والجدية أمام المنافس.
وأضاف: «بين الشوطين تكلمنا مع بعض بأن الخصم راح يعطي 1000% لأنه قدام الأهلي»، في إشارة إلى إدراك اللاعبين الدافع الكبير الذي يملكه الأنوار في مواجهة أحد أبرز أندية الكرة السعودية، خصوصاً في مباراة إقصائية لا تقبل التعويض.
وعن ظهوره مع الفريق وطموحاته خلال المرحلة القادمة، قال الصانبي: «الحمد لله اجتهدت وربي أكرمني، وأنا متفائل إن عندي أكثر»، مؤكداً رغبته في استثمار الفرص التي يحصل عليها ومواصلة تطوير مستواه.
وتكشف أرقام الصانبي عن تطور واضح في حضوره مع الأهلي، إذ شارك في 17 مباراة بدوري المحترفين خلال المواسم الثلاثة الماضية، منها 15 مباراة أساسياً، بإجمالي 1444 دقيقة، وخرج بشباك نظيفة في 4 مباريات، فيما بلغت نسبة تصدياته الإجمالية نحو 70.6%.
وشهد الموسم الماضي 2025-2026 أفضل أرقام الحارس البالغ من العمر 25 عاماً في دوري روشن، بعدما شارك أساسياً في 8 مباريات بواقع 720 دقيقة، واستقبل 7 أهداف فقط، وحافظ على نظافة شباكه في 3 مباريات، وحقق 13 تصدياً، فيما سجل الأهلي 7 انتصارات خلال المباريات الثماني التي شارك فيها الصانبي أساسياً.
وتدرج حضور الصانبي مع الفريق الأول في الدوري، إذ خاض مباراة واحدة موسم 2023-2024، ثم شارك في 8 مباريات موسم 2024-2025، قبل أن يخوض 8 مواجهات أخرى في موسم 2025-2026، ليواصل الحارس السعودي البحث عن مساحة أكبر للمشاركة والمنافسة على حماية العرين الأهلاوي.
وجاءت مشاركته أمام الأنوار لتمنحه فرصة جديدة لإثبات حضوره، في موسم ينتظر فيه الأهلي عدداً من الاستحقاقات المحلية والقارية والدولية، وسط سعي الصانبي إلى تعزيز موقعه في حسابات الجهاز الفني وتأكيد جاهزيته متى ما احتاجه الفريق.
Ahlawi goalkeeper Abdulrahman Al-Sanbi expressed his happiness with his team's continued journey in the King Abdulaziz Cup after overcoming Al-Anwar, confirming that the weather conditions increased the difficulty of the match, while the Ahlawi team succeeded in securing the qualification ticket during the second half.
Al-Sanbi said in televised statements after the match: "We couldn't breathe because of the weather," pointing out that the Ahlawi players discussed among themselves during the break about the necessity of raising their level of focus and seriousness against the opponent.
He added: "Between the halves, we talked to each other that the opponent would give 1000% because they are facing Al-Ahli," referring to the players' awareness of the significant motivation that Al-Anwar has when facing one of the most prominent clubs in Saudi football, especially in a knockout match that does not allow for compensation.
Regarding his appearance with the team and his ambitions for the upcoming phase, Al-Sanbi said: "Thank God, I worked hard and God has blessed me, and I am optimistic that I have more," affirming his desire to capitalize on the opportunities he receives and continue to develop his level.
Al-Sanbi's numbers reveal a clear improvement in his presence with Al-Ahli, as he participated in 17 matches in the Professional League over the past three seasons, including 15 matches as a starter, totaling 1444 minutes, and kept a clean sheet in 4 matches, while his overall save percentage reached about 70.6%.
The last season 2025-2026 witnessed the best statistics for the 25-year-old goalkeeper in the Roshan League, as he started in 8 matches for a total of 720 minutes, conceded only 7 goals, kept his net clean in 3 matches, and achieved 13 saves, while Al-Ahli recorded 7 victories during the eight matches in which Al-Sanbi started.
Al-Sanbi's presence with the first team in the league progressed, as he played one match in the 2023-2024 season, then participated in 8 matches in the 2024-2025 season, before playing 8 more matches in the 2025-2026 season, as the Saudi goalkeeper continues to seek a larger space for participation and competition in protecting the Ahlawi goal.
His participation against Al-Anwar provided him with a new opportunity to prove his presence in a season where Al-Ahli is expecting several local, continental, and international commitments, amid Al-Sanbi's efforts to strengthen his position in the technical staff's calculations and confirm his readiness whenever the team needs him.
