In one of the most heinous family crimes witnessed in the neighborhoods of Alexandria, a casual phone call carrying unverified claims turned into a motive for bloodshed inside an apartment in "Raml," after two young men stripped away their feelings of brotherhood and decided to carry out a fatal assault against their twenty-something sister.

The tragedy began with a report received by the emergency operations room indicating the presence of a body of a girl (29 years old) inside her bedroom. Upon the arrival of criminal investigation and forensic teams, the field examination revealed a fatal cut wound to the neck, along with scattered stab wounds and severe bleeding that claimed her life before any help could arrive.

Investigations by the police and details from the interrogations with the suspects revealed the shocking and painful sequence of events that occurred before the brothers left the crime scene:

• The poisoned call: The family received information from an acquaintance claiming to have seen strangers entering the girl's house, prompting the younger brother (22 years old) to enlist the help of the older brother and head immediately to the location.
• Tied up: Upon their arrival, a verbal altercation broke out that did not last long, as the brothers restrained their sister and completely bound her using a rope to prevent her from escaping or screaming.
• Using knives: The younger brother brought a knife from the kitchen and delivered a sharp blow to her neck, and when the first knife became ineffective due to the force of the attack, they replaced it with another weapon to complete the crime before fleeing.

The movements of the search teams led to the identification of the brothers' hiding place and their arrest within hours, as they were taken to the crime scene for a reenactment and to explain how they controlled the victim and executed the assault.

When presented to the public prosecutor, a decision was made to detain them for 4 days pending investigations, with the crime tools being seized and sent for forensic examination, and the police were tasked with preparing the final report regarding the circumstances and motives of the crime.
