ذكر المركز الألماني لأبحاث علوم الأرض أن زلزالًا بقوة 5.9 درجات ضرب منطقة فلوريس في إندونيسيا، اليوم الاثنين، موضحًا أنه وقع على عمق 10 كيلومترات.
بعد زلزال بقوة 7.7 درجات
يأتي الزلزال الجديد بعد يوم من إجلاء 5000 شخص، إثر زلزال ضرب منطقة شرقي البلاد بقوة 7.7 درجات، وأسفر عن مقتل ما لا يقل عن 53 شخصًا، إضافة إلى إغلاق طرق والتسبب في انهيارات أرضية.
وكان الزلزال الذي وقع السبت الأكثر إزهاقًا للأرواح في الدولة الواقعة بجنوب شرق آسيا منذ زلزال عام 2022، الذي أودى بحياة المئات في جاوة الغربية.
آلاف يغادرون منازلهم
وقالت الوكالة الوطنية لإدارة الكوارث في إندونيسيا إن أكثر من 3300 شخص في منطقة سيكا إما غادروا منازلهم من تلقاء أنفسهم أو لجأوا إلى صالة رياضية.
وتقطعت السبل ببعض السكان خارج منازلهم المنهارة، تحت خيمة مؤقتة مصنوعة من القماش المشمع، فيما تلقى آخرون العلاج في خيمة خارج أحد المستشفيات.
إندونيسيا على «حلقة النار»
وتقع إندونيسيا، وهي أرخبيل شاسع يبلغ عدد سكانه 290 مليون نسمة، على «حلقة النار في المحيط الهادئ»، وهي منطقة نشطة زلزاليًا تلتقي فيها الصفائح التكتونية، ما يؤدي إلى وقوع زلازل وانفجارات بركانية متكررة.

After a 7.7 Magnitude Earthquake
The new earthquake comes a day after the evacuation of 5,000 people following a 7.7 magnitude earthquake that hit the eastern part of the country, resulting in the deaths of at least 53 people, in addition to road closures and causing landslides.
The earthquake that occurred on Saturday was the deadliest in the Southeast Asian nation since the 2022 earthquake, which claimed hundreds of lives in West Java.
Thousands Leaving Their Homes
The National Disaster Management Agency in Indonesia stated that more than 3,300 people in the Sikka area either left their homes voluntarily or sought refuge in a gymnasium.
Some residents were stranded outside their collapsed homes, under a temporary shelter made of tarpaulin, while others received treatment in a tent outside one of the hospitals.
