أكد مدير منتخب مصر الأول لكرة القدم إبراهيم حسن، أن الأشعة التي أجراها اللاعب حمدي فتحي، تحت إشراف الدكتور محمد أبو العلا طبيب الفراعنة، كشفت عن إصابته في العضلة الخلفية خلال مواجهة نيوزيلندا في دور المجموعات بكأس العالم 2026.
موضحاً أن عودة اللاعب للمباريات القادمة ستتحدد وفق استجابته للبرنامج العلاجي والتأهيلي المخصص للإصابة، مشيراً إلى أن الجهاز الطبي يتابع الحالة بدقة.
وفي السياق ذاته، أثبتت الأشعة التي خضع لها حسام عبد المجيد سلامة عظام الوجه، وسيكون جاهزاً للعودة للمشاركة مع المنتخب وفق البروتوكول العلاجي المتبع لمثل هذه الإصابات.
يذكر أن منتخب مصر حقق فوزاً مهماً على نيوزيلندا 3-1 في الجولة الثانية للمجموعة السابعة، ليتصدر المجموعة بـ4 نقاط، متفوقاً على إيران وبلجيكا بنقطتين لكل منهما، بينما يتذيل منتخب نيوزيلندا الترتيب بنقطة واحدة.
The director of the Egyptian national football team, Ibrahim Hassan, confirmed that the scans conducted on player Hamdi Fathy, under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Abu Al-Ala, the Pharaohs' doctor, revealed an injury to his hamstring during the match against New Zealand in the group stage of the 2026 World Cup.
He explained that the player's return to upcoming matches will depend on his response to the treatment and rehabilitation program designated for the injury, noting that the medical staff is closely monitoring the situation.
In the same context, the scans that Hossam Abdel-Meguid underwent confirmed the health of his facial bones, and he will be ready to return to participate with the national team according to the treatment protocol followed for such injuries.
It is worth mentioning that the Egyptian national team achieved an important victory over New Zealand, winning 3-1 in the second round of Group 7, leading the group with 4 points, ahead of Iran and Belgium by two points each, while New Zealand is at the bottom of the standings with one point.
