يدرس الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (فيفا) إجراء تعديل جديد على آلية تنفيذ ركلات الترجيح، قبل انطلاق منافسات دور الـ32 من كأس العالم 2026، في خطوة تهدف إلى تبسيط الإجراءات التي تسبق الحسم من علامة الجزاء.
وبحسب المقترح المتداول، سيتم الاكتفاء بقرعة واحدة فقط بدلاً من القرعتين المعمول بهما حالياً، إذ يحصل الفائز بالقرعة على حق اختيار التسديد أولاً أو المرمى الذي ستُنفذ عليه الركلات، بينما ينال الطرف الخاسر الخيار الآخر تلقائياً.
ويرى مؤيدو المقترح أن النظام الجديد سيجعل إجراءات ركلات الترجيح أكثر وضوحاً وسرعة، في حين يعتقد آخرون أن القرار قد يضيف بعداً تكتيكياً جديداً للمدربين وقادة المنتخبات عند اتخاذ القرار الحاسم قبل التنفيذ.
ولم يصدر «فيفا» حتى الآن قراراً نهائياً بشأن اعتماد التعديل، إلا أن المقترح أثار اهتماماً واسعاً داخل أوساط كرة القدم، خصوصاً مع اقتراب انطلاق الأدوار الإقصائية التي غالباً ما تشهد العديد من المواجهات المحسومة بركلات الترجيح.
The International Football Federation (FIFA) is studying a new amendment to the penalty shootout execution mechanism, ahead of the start of the Round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup, in a move aimed at simplifying the procedures that precede the decision from the penalty mark.
According to the circulating proposal, there will be only one draw instead of the two draws currently in use, where the winner of the draw will have the right to choose whether to shoot first or the goal at which the penalties will be taken, while the losing party will automatically receive the other option.
Supporters of the proposal believe that the new system will make the penalty shootout procedures clearer and faster, while others think that the decision may add a new tactical dimension for coaches and team leaders when making the critical decision before execution.
FIFA has not yet issued a final decision regarding the adoption of the amendment, but the proposal has sparked wide interest within football circles, especially with the approach of the knockout stages, which often witness many matches decided by penalty shootouts.
