أعلن نادي الكويت الكويتي تعاقده رسمياً مع لاعب الوسط المصري سام مرسي، قادماً من صفوف إيبسويتش تاون الإنجليزي.
وجاء في بيان نشره النادي عبر حسابه على منصة «إكس»: «توصل نادي الكويت الرياضي إلى اتفاق مع نادي إيبسويتش تاون بشأن انتقال اللاعب سام مرسي إلى صفوف الزعيم».
وأضاف البيان: «ترحب إدارة النادي باللاعب وتتمنى له التوفيق في المرحلة القادمة».
وتُعد هذه الصفقة أول تجربة عربية في مسيرة سام مرسي، الذي أمضى كامل مشواره الاحترافي داخل الملاعب الإنجليزية.
وكان مرسي قد شارك في 33 مباراة مع إيبسويتش تاون خلال الموسم الماضي في البريميرليغ، سجل خلالها هدفاً وصنع آخر.
The Kuwaiti Al Kuwait Club officially announced its contract with the Egyptian midfielder Sam Morsi, coming from Ipswich Town in England.
In a statement published by the club on its account on the "X" platform, it said: "Al Kuwait Sports Club has reached an agreement with Ipswich Town regarding the transfer of player Sam Morsi to the ranks of the leader."
The statement added: "The club's management welcomes the player and wishes him success in the upcoming stage."
This transfer marks Sam Morsi's first Arab experience, having spent his entire professional career in English football.
Morsi participated in 33 matches with Ipswich Town during the last season in the Premier League, scoring one goal and assisting another.
