غيب الموت، اليوم (السبت)، نجم منتخب الكويت ونادي التضامن السابق فتحي كميل مطر مرزوق، الملقب بـ«الفارس الأسمر»، عن عمر ناهز 70 عاماً، بعد صراع طويل مع المرض وعدم استقرار حالته الصحية خلال السنوات الأخيرة، مخلفاً حزناً واسعاً في الأوساط الرياضية الكويتية والعربية.

مسيرة ذهبية مع الأزرق
يُعد الراحل أحد أبرز نجوم الكرة الكويتية في السبعينات والثمانينات، وركيزة أساسية في الجيل الذهبي، وتوّج مع منتخب الكويت بلقب كأس آسيا 1980، وشارك في نهائيات كأس العالم 1982 في إسبانيا، إضافة إلى المشاركة في أولمبياد موسكو 1980، والفوز بكأس الخليج الثالثة عام 1974.

ولد فتحي كميل في 23 مايو 1955، وارتبط طوال مسيرته الكروية بنادي التضامن لمدة تقارب 17 عاماً، رافضاً الانتقال لأي نادٍ آخر داخل الكويت أو خارجها، رغم العروض العديدة، ليجسد معنى الوفاء والانتماء، ويترك إرثاً رياضياً وإنسانياً خالداً في ذاكرة الكرة الكويتية.

The late Fathi Kamil is considered one of the most prominent stars of Kuwaiti football in the 1970s and 1980s, and a key pillar of the golden generation. He won the AFC Asian Cup with the Kuwait national team in 1980, participated in the 1982 FIFA World Cup in Spain, in addition to competing in the 1980 Moscow Olympics, and winning the third Gulf Cup in 1974.

Fathi Kamil was famous for his dribbling skills and his uniquely special goals, achieving remarkable statistics, most notably: the top scorer of the Amir Cup 1973/1974 with 7 goals, and the top scorer of the AFC Asian Cup 1976 with 3 goals, ensuring his name remains present in the historical scorers' records.
