أعلن نادي الزمالك المصري، اليوم (السبت)، إقالة مدربه البلجيكي يانيك فيريرا من منصبه، بسبب تراجع نتائج الفريق خلال الفترة الأخيرة.
وأوضح النادي في بيان أن أحمد عبد الرؤوف سيتولى قيادة الفريق خلال بطولة كأس السوبر المصري المقررة إقامتها في الإمارات خلال الأيام القادمة، عقب توجيه الشكر للمدرب البلجيكي.
ورغم تأكيد إدارة الزمالك قبل أيام قليلة على استمرار فيريرا، إلا أن الضغوط الجماهيرية الكبيرة دفعت المجلس إلى تسريع قرار الإقالة قبل خوض مباراة السوبر المصري.

وقاد فيريرا فريق «الفارس الأبيض» في 13 مباراة هذا الموسم ببطولتي الدوري المصري الممتاز وكأس الكونفدرالية الأفريقية، حقق خلالها 7 انتصارات، وتعادل في 4 مباريات، وتلقى هزيمتين، فيما كان عقده يمتد حتى نهاية الموسم الحالي.
يُذكر أن فيريرا سبق له خوض 3 تجارب تدريبية في الدوري السعودي، حيث تولّى تدريب الفتح والرياض، كما عمل مساعداً للمدرب في فريق الشباب.
The Egyptian club Zamalek announced today (Saturday) the dismissal of its Belgian coach, Yannick Ferreira, from his position due to the decline in the team's results in recent times.
The club clarified in a statement that Ahmed Abdel Raouf will take over the team's leadership during the Egyptian Super Cup, which is scheduled to be held in the UAE in the coming days, after thanking the Belgian coach.
Despite the Zamalek management confirming just a few days ago that Ferreira would remain, the significant public pressure prompted the board to expedite the dismissal decision before the Egyptian Super Cup match.

Ferreira led the "White Knight" team in 13 matches this season in the Egyptian Premier League and the African Confederation Cup, achieving 7 victories, drawing in 4 matches, and suffering 2 defeats, while his contract extended until the end of the current season.
It is worth mentioning that Ferreira previously had 3 coaching experiences in the Saudi league, where he coached Al-Fateh and Al-Riyadh, and also worked as an assistant coach for the youth team.
