أحكم الجيش اليمني اليوم (الإثنين) سيطرته على معسكر اللبنات بمحافظة الجوف واتجه نحو مدينة الحزم مركز المحافظة.
وقال مصدر عسكري يمني لـ"عكاظ": الجيش سيطر على معسكر اللبنات الاستراتيجي وأسر عدداً من مليشيا الحوثي بمحافظة الجوف، في عملية متسارعة بدأت مساء أمس بالسيطرة على المناطق الدفاعية والنقاط الأمنية بين محافظتي الجوف ومأرب قبل أن تتعمق وتحاصر معسكر اللبنات وتدمر دفاعاته.
وأضاف المصدر: قوات الجيش تواصل عملياتها وتقترب من مدينة الحزم عاصمة محافظة الجوف.
وأظهرت مقاطع فيديو قيام أحد أفراد الجيش بتمزيق لوحة كبيرة عليها صورة زعيم جماعة الحوثيين على أحد مداخل المعسكر كما أظهرت مقاطع أخرى استسلام أفراد في أحد المواقع المطلة على المعسكر.
وحسب مصادر عسكرية فإن القوات تستعد للتقدم نحو مدينة الحزم مركز المحافظة الواقعة شمال شرق اليمن وتمتد على مساحة واسعة وتتصل بمحافظات مأرب وحضرموت وصنعاء وعمران وصولاً إلى حدود المملكة العربية السعودية.
وقال قائد اللواء الثاني قوات طوارئ الفرقة الثالثة العميد عبدالله دارس: حققت قواتنا تقدمات كبيرة على محاور متعددة شرق محافظة الجوف وتم الالتفاف والإطباق على جبهة اللبنات ومحاصرة جبهات حويشان وحويضة وتعتبر هذه الجبهات ساقطة، مضيفاً: ساعات قليلة وستكون هذه المناطق جمهورية شرعية وتعود للوطن.
واستعرض الجيش اليمني مشاهد من معسكر اللبنات الذي سيطر عليه، بدوره قال المتحدث باسم القوات المسلحة العقيد ماجد النزيلي: إن قدرات القوات الجوية وأسلحتها النوعية تشارك في المعركة بفعالية.
وأضاف النزيلي: قواتنا تستخدم قدرات عسكرية نوعية أُدخلت إلى الخدمة حديثاً، خلال عملية عسكرية ضد مليشيا الحوثي في محافظة مأرب شرقي البلاد.
وتأتي هذه التطورات عقب أيام من مواجهات عنيفة في محافظة تعز جنوب غرب اليمن ومديريتي حيس والجراحي جنوب الحديدة.
وقال الإعلام العسكري للمقاومة الوطنية: القوات المسلحة تدمر ثلاثة أنساق متتالية لمليشيا الحوثي في محور البرح غرب تعز، مبيناً أن المعارك احتدمت في البرح في ظل استخدام مكثف للأسلحة الثقيلة بعد رصد تعزيزات لمليشيا الحوثي الإرهابية.
وعقد عضو مجلس القيادة الرئاسي الفريق أول ركن محمد عبدالله صالح اجتماعاً مع قائد المنطقة العسكرية الرابعة قائد الفرقة الثانية عمالقة اللواء حمدي شكري الصبيحي وناقش معهم سير العمليات العسكرية التي تخوضها القوات المسلحة ضد مليشيا الحوثي في جبهات الساحل، وذلك عقب عودة الصبيحي من مديرية حيس حيث كان يشرف على عملية تحرير المديرية بالكامل إلى مدينة المخا.
The Yemeni army today (Monday) asserted its control over the Al-Labnat camp in Al-Jawf Governorate and headed towards the city of Al-Hazm, the center of the governorate.
A Yemeni military source told "Okaz": The army has taken control of the strategic Al-Labnat camp and captured several members of the Houthi militia in Al-Jawf Governorate, in a rapid operation that began last night by securing defensive areas and security points between Al-Jawf and Marib Governorates before deepening and surrounding the Al-Labnat camp and destroying its defenses.
The source added: The army forces continue their operations and are approaching the city of Al-Hazm, the capital of Al-Jawf Governorate.
Videos showed one of the army members tearing down a large banner featuring the image of the Houthi leader at one of the camp entrances, while other clips showed individuals surrendering at one of the sites overlooking the camp.
According to military sources, the forces are preparing to advance towards the city of Al-Hazm, the center of the governorate located in northeastern Yemen, which extends over a wide area and connects with the governorates of Marib, Hadramaut, Sana'a, and Amran, reaching the borders of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The commander of the Second Brigade of Emergency Forces of the Third Division, Brigadier General Abdullah Daris, stated: Our forces have made significant advances on multiple fronts east of Al-Jawf Governorate, and have encircled and besieged the Al-Labnat front and the fronts of Huwaishan and Huwaydah, which are considered to have fallen. He added: In a few hours, these areas will be under legitimate republic control and will return to the homeland.
The Yemeni army showcased scenes from the Al-Labnat camp that it has taken control of. For his part, the spokesperson for the armed forces, Colonel Majid Al-Nazili, stated that the capabilities of the air forces and their advanced weapons are actively participating in the battle.
Al-Nazili added: Our forces are utilizing newly introduced military capabilities during a military operation against the Houthi militia in Marib Governorate, eastern Yemen.
These developments come after days of intense clashes in Taiz Governorate in southwestern Yemen and in the districts of Hays and Al-Jarahi south of Al-Hudaydah.
The military media of the National Resistance reported: The armed forces have destroyed three consecutive formations of the Houthi militia in the Al-Barah axis west of Taiz, indicating that battles have intensified in Al-Barah amid heavy use of heavy weapons after monitoring reinforcements for the terrorist Houthi militia.
Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Lieutenant General Muhammad Abdullah Saleh, held a meeting with the commander of the Fourth Military Region, the commander of the Second Giants Brigade, Brigadier General Hamdi Shukri Al-Sabihi, and discussed with them the progress of military operations being conducted by the armed forces against the Houthi militia on the coastal fronts, following Al-Sabihi's return from the Hays district where he was overseeing the complete liberation of the district to the city of Al-Mokha.
