وعلّقت وزارة النقل الإندونيسية العمليات الجوية في مطار سوكارنو-هاتا الدولي في جاكرتا حتى نهاية اليوم، بعد رصد الرماد البركاني، مشيرة إلى تأثر 964 رحلة في المطار وحده.
الرماد يصل إلى ارتفاعات شاهقة
ويواصل البركان، الواقع بين جزيرتي جاوة وسومطرة، ثورانه منذ يوم الجمعة، فيما وصل ارتفاع الرماد إلى نحو 6000 متر في بعض المناطق، وبلغ عمود الرماد 15 ألف متر في مناطق أخرى.
التعليم عن بُعد وتحذيرات للسكان
وقررت السلطات في لامبونج وجاكرتا تطبيق التعليم عن بُعد اعتبارًا من اليوم، كما دعت السكان إلى ارتداء الكمامات وتقليل الأنشطة في الأماكن المفتوحة.

وفي سياق متصل، ثار جبل سيميرو في جاوة الشرقية، مطلقًا عمودًا من الرماد بارتفاع كيلومتر فوق قمته، ليرتفع عدد البراكين الإندونيسية الخاضعة لمستوى الإنذار الثالث إلى خمسة براكين.
