ضرب زلزال بلغت قوته 5.6 درجة على مقياس ريختر، اليوم (الأحد)، جزر سليمان الواقعة في المحيط الهادي.
وأفادت هيئة المسح الجيولوجي الأمريكية بأن مركز الزلزال وقع على بُعد 93 كيلومتراً جنوب شرق مدينة كيراكيرا في جزر سليمان، وعلى عمق 38.5 كيلومتراً.
وتقع جزر سليمان ضمن منطقة تشهد نشاطاً زلزالياً، وتتعرض لهزات أرضية قوية.
A 5.6 magnitude earthquake struck the Solomon Islands in the Pacific Ocean today (Sunday).
The U.S. Geological Survey reported that the earthquake's epicenter was located 93 kilometers southeast of the city of Kirakira in the Solomon Islands, at a depth of 38.5 kilometers.
The Solomon Islands are situated in a seismically active region and are subject to strong tremors.
