تحولت رحلة تسوق عادية داخل أحد أشهر المتاجر في قلب نيويورك إلى كابوس مروع، بعدما تعرضت المذيعة الأمريكية جاكي دي أنجيليس نجمة شبكة «فوكس بيزنس»، لهجوم غادر من كلب من فصيلة «بيتبول» الشرسة أثناء تواجدها داخل فرع سلسلة «هول فودز» بمنطقة مانهاتن.
وبحسب تفاصيل الدعوى القضائية التي هزت الأوساط الإعلامية، أسفر الهجوم المفاجئ عن نهش اليد اليسرى للمذيعة البالغة من العمر 46 عاماً، مسبباً لها ندوباً وتشوهات بالغة استدعت تدخلاً جراحياً عاجلاً، وسط تأكيدات طبية بأن بعض هذه الإصابات ستلازمها مدى الحياة. وما زاد من صدمة الحادثة، فرار صاحب الكلب برفقة حيوانه المفترس مستغلاً حالة الرعب والارتباك التي سادت المتجر قبل وصول شرطة نيويورك.
هذا الاعتداء الدامي دفع الإعلامية الشهيرة لرفع دعوى قضائية ضد إدارة «هول فودز»، متهمة السلسلة بالإهمال الجسيم والفشل في تطبيق لوائحها المعلنة التي تحظر دخول الحيوانات الأليفة إلى المتاجر. وتطالب دي أنجيليس بتعويضات مالية لجبر الأضرار الجسدية والنفسية البالغة التي تحولت معها نزهة تسوق روتينية إلى تراجيديا حقيقية.

According to the details of the lawsuit that has shaken media circles, the sudden attack resulted in severe injuries to the left hand of the 46-year-old broadcaster, causing her significant scarring and disfigurement that required urgent surgical intervention, with medical confirmations that some of these injuries will accompany her for life. What added to the shock of the incident was the escape of the dog's owner along with his vicious animal, taking advantage of the state of terror and confusion that prevailed in the store before the arrival of the New York police.
This bloody assault prompted the famous media personality to file a lawsuit against the management of "Whole Foods," accusing the chain of gross negligence and failure to enforce its announced policies that prohibit the entry of pets into the stores. DeAngelis is seeking financial compensation for the severe physical and psychological damages that turned her routine shopping trip into a real tragedy.
