أبو حذيفة الأنصاري هو الاسم الحركي للمتحدث الرسمي باسم تنظيم داعش الإرهابي منذ أغسطس 2023، خلفًا لأبو عمر المهاجر. وكان من أبرز الوجوه الإعلامية في التنظيم.
ظهر الأنصاري لأول مرة بشكل بارز عندما أصدر التنظيم تسجيلًا صوتيًا أعلن فيه مقتل زعيم داعش آنذاك أبو الحسين الحسيني القرشي وتعيين أبو حفص الهاشمي القرشي خلفًا له. أصدر بعد ذلك عدة تسجيلات دعائية باسم التنظيم، من أبرزها تسجيل في يناير 2024، ثم عاد للظهور في تسجيل صوتي في فبراير 2026 تناول فيه الوضع في سورية ودعا عناصر داعش إلى مواصلة القتال.
وحتى وقت قريب، لم تكن هوية أبو حذيفة الحقيقية معروفة بشكل موثوق على نطاق واسع، وكانت هناك تكهنات بأنه عراقي، إلا أن تقارير يمنية غير مؤكدة أفادت بعد إعلان مقتله بأن اسمه الحقيقي قد يكون ميثاق الردفاني، وأنه من منطقة ردفان في محافظة لحج اليمنية.
نشرت وسائل إعلام يمنية روايات عن نشأته في منطقة ردفان وانتقاله لاحقًا إلى البيضاء وحضرموت قبل انضمامه إلى جماعات متطرفة، وفق ما أفادت مصادر محلية. ونقل الباحث في شؤون الجماعات الجهادية محمد بن فيصل عن مصادر وصفها بالخاصة قولها: إن الأنصاري كان يشغل منصب المتحدث الرسمي باسم تنظيم داعش و"والي ولاية اليمن"، وأن اسمه الحقيقي ميثاق ثابت هيثم الردفاني، وكان من أبرز العناصر الشرعية في التنظيم.
وقال إن القيادي كان يتنقل بحزام ناسف بصورة دائمة، في ظل تعليمات داخل التنظيم تقضي باستخدام الأحزمة الناسفة عند محاولة اعتقال القيادات، ما جعل تنفيذ عملية اعتقاله أمراً بالغ الصعوبة. ونشر الباحث صورة قال إنها للردفاني مأخوذة من جواز سفر، مضيفا أنه لم يكن قد سُجن من قبل.
وبحسب بيان جهاز أمن الدولة اليمني، استهدفت عملية خاصة مشتركة من قوات خاصة تابعة للتحالف وقوة مكافحة الإرهاب اليمنية المعروفة بـ«القوة 22» أبو حذيفة بهدف اعتقاله، لكنها انتهت بمقتله. وقال البيان إن القوات غادرت منطقة العملية دون وقوع أضرار أو إصابات بين المدنيين.
Abu Hudhayfa al-Ansari is the nom de guerre of the official spokesperson for the ISIS terrorist organization since August 2023, succeeding Abu Omar al-Muhajir. He was one of the most prominent media figures in the organization.
Al-Ansari first appeared prominently when the organization released an audio recording announcing the death of ISIS leader at the time, Abu al-Hussein al-Husseini al-Qurashi, and the appointment of Abu Hafs al-Hashimi al-Qurashi as his successor. He subsequently issued several propaganda recordings in the name of the organization, the most notable of which was a recording in January 2024, and he reappeared in an audio recording in February 2026 discussing the situation in Syria and urging ISIS members to continue fighting.
Until recently, Abu Hudhayfa's true identity was not reliably known widely, and there were speculations that he was Iraqi. However, unconfirmed Yemeni reports suggested after his death announcement that his real name might be Mithaq al-Rudfani, and that he was from the Rudfan area in Lahij Governorate, Yemen.
Yemeni media outlets published accounts of his upbringing in the Rudfan area and his later move to Al-Bayda and Hadhramaut before joining extremist groups, according to local sources. Researcher on jihadist groups, Muhammad bin Faisal, quoted sources he described as private stating that al-Ansari held the position of official spokesperson for ISIS and "governor of the Yemen province," and that his real name was Mithaq Thabit Haytham al-Rudfani, and he was one of the prominent legal figures in the organization.
He stated that the leader was constantly moving with an explosive belt, under instructions within the organization to use explosive belts when attempting to arrest leaders, which made executing his arrest extremely difficult. The researcher published a photo he claimed was of al-Rudfani taken from a passport, adding that he had never been imprisoned before.
According to a statement from the Yemeni State Security Agency, a joint special operation by special forces affiliated with the coalition and the Yemeni anti-terrorism force known as "Force 22" targeted Abu Hudhayfa with the aim of arresting him, but it ended with his death. The statement indicated that the forces left the operation area without any damage or injuries among civilians.
