فيما يشهد قطاع غزة تصعيدا عسكريا إسرائيليا، أعلن وزير الدفاع الإسرائيلي يسرائيل كاتس، اعتقال قائد كبير من حركة حماس، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، إلا أنه لم يكشف عن هويته.
وتوعد بأن الرد على كل عملية إطلاق نار من غزة سيكون قوياً وواضحاً، مضيفاً أن العمليات في القطاع مستمرة. وأكد كاتس أن نحو 70% من مساحة قطاع غزة مدمر ودون أنفاق أو بنى تحتية، مؤكداً أنه تحت سيطرة القوات الإسرائيلية بشكل كامل.
وكان جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي شن هجمات جديدة على غزة، بهدف القضاء على التهديدات التي تواجه قواته، وفق قوله.
وقال مدير عام المكتب الإعلامي الحكومي في غزة إسماعيل الثوابتة، إن قوة إسرائيلية خاصة حاولت تنفيذ عملية في مدينة غزة، لكن تم اكتشافها أثناء المهمة.
وأضاف أن إسرائيل شنت بعد ذلك غارات جوية مكثفة شاركت فيها أكثر من عشر طائرات حربية، ما أسفر عن مقتل وإصابة عدة أشخاص.
فيما أفاد مسؤولون بمجال الصحة في غزة بأن نيراناً وغارات جوية إسرائيلية أسفرت عن مقتل أربعة أشخاص على الأقل، بينهم ثلاثة أطفال، في القطاع الفلسطيني.
يذكر أن وقف إطلاق النار الذي تسنى التوصل إليه في أكتوبر 2025 بدعم من الولايات المتحدة كان أدى إلى وقف الأعمال القتالية الكبيرة في القطاع المدمر، لكنه لم يضع حداً لهجمات الجيش الإسرائيلي، الذي يقول إن الغارات تهدف إلى إحباط هجمات حماس وغيرها من الفصائل في غزة.
ومنذ سريان وقف إطلاق النار هذا قتل ما لا يقل عن 1300 فلسطيني وفق تقديرات مسعفين في القطاع. في المقابل أعلن الجيش الإسرائيلي مقتل أربعة جنود خلال نفس الفترة.

He vowed that the response to any gunfire from Gaza would be strong and clear, adding that operations in the sector are ongoing. Katz confirmed that about 70% of the Gaza Strip is destroyed and lacks tunnels or infrastructure, emphasizing that it is under the complete control of Israeli forces.
The Israeli occupation army has launched new attacks on Gaza, aiming to eliminate the threats facing its forces, according to him.
Ismail Thawabteh, the Director General of the Government Media Office in Gaza, stated that an Israeli special force attempted to carry out an operation in Gaza City, but it was discovered during the mission.
He added that Israel then launched intensive airstrikes involving more than ten warplanes, resulting in the deaths and injuries of several people.
Health officials in Gaza reported that Israeli gunfire and airstrikes resulted in the deaths of at least four people, including three children, in the Palestinian sector.
It is worth mentioning that the ceasefire reached in October 2025, with the support of the United States, led to a halt in major hostilities in the devastated sector, but it did not put an end to the Israeli army's attacks, which claim that the airstrikes aim to thwart attacks from Hamas and other factions in Gaza.
Since the implementation of this ceasefire, at least 1,300 Palestinians have been killed according to estimates from paramedics in the sector. In contrast, the Israeli army announced the deaths of four soldiers during the same period.
