شدّد الأمن العام على ضرورة التزام السائقين بترك مسافة آمنة بين المركبات أثناء القيادة، مؤكّدًا أن تجاهل هذا الإجراء يُعد مخالفة مرورية تستوجب غرامة مالية تصل إلى 300 ريال.
وأوضح أن ترك مسافة كافية بين المركبات يُعد من أهم قواعد السلامة المرورية، لما له من دور مباشر في الحدِّ من الحوادث الناتجة عن التوقف المفاجئ أو فقدان السيطرة على المركبة.
وأشار الأمن العام إلى أن الالتزام بأنظمة المرور ليس خيارًا، بل مسؤولية تحمي السائقين ومستخدمي الطريق، مؤكّدًا أن الجهات المختصة ستواصل تطبيق العقوبات النظامية بحق المخالفين، ضمن جهودها للحد من السلوكيات التي تشكل خطورة على السلامة العامة. كما دعا السائقين إلى التحلّي باليقظة أثناء القيادة، والالتزام بالتعليمات التي تهدف إلى تعزيز انسيابية الحركة المرورية وتقليل نسب الحوادث.

It was explained that leaving a sufficient distance between vehicles is one of the most important traffic safety rules, as it plays a direct role in reducing accidents resulting from sudden stops or loss of control over the vehicle.
The Public Security pointed out that adhering to traffic regulations is not an option, but a responsibility that protects drivers and road users, affirming that the relevant authorities will continue to enforce legal penalties against violators, as part of their efforts to reduce behaviors that pose a danger to public safety. They also urged drivers to remain vigilant while driving and to comply with instructions aimed at enhancing the smooth flow of traffic and reducing accident rates.
