جددت مليشيا الحوثي الإرهابية مساء اليوم (الأربعاء)، قصف الأحياء السكنية في مديريتي المخا والخوخة غرب اليمن، بالصواريخ البالستية.
ورجح سكان محليون أن يكون الحوثي قد أطلق الصاروخين من منطقة الحوبان شرق تعز، فيما نقل المركز الإعلامي للقوات المسلحة اليمنية عن مصادر عسكرية تأكيدها تعرض ميناء المخا لثلاثة صواريخ بالستية، في حين سقط صاروخ بالستي رابع داخل مدينة الخوخة، ولم يعرف بعد ما إذا كان هناك ضحايا مدنيون.
وأوضح المصدر أن المليشيا أطلقت الصواريخ الأربعة من مناطق سيطرتها في جبل أومان شرق مدينة تعز، وصل منها ثلاثة صواريخ إلى ميناء المخا، بينما سقط الصاروخ الرابع داخل مدينة الخوخة. ويأتي هذا الاعتداء الإرهابي في إطار استهداف مليشيا الحوثي المتكرر ميناء المخا والمنشآت المدنية في مديريات الساحل الغربي بمحافظة تعز وجنوب محافظة الحديدة.
من جهة أخرى، كشفت الأمم المتحدة سقوط أكثر من 60 ضحية مدنية نتيجة الهجمات التي نفذتها المليشيا على مناطق مأهولة بالسكان في محافظتي مأرب وتعز.
وقال مكتب الأمم المتحدة لتنسيق الشؤون الإنسانية (OCHA) في تقرير إن تسعة مدنيين قُتلوا وأُصيب ما لا يقل عن 54 آخرين جراء الهجمات التي شنتها مليشيا الحوثي على مناطق وأحياء سكنية في مدينتي مأرب وتعز والمخا، خلال الفترة الأخيرة.
وأضاف التقرير أن نحو 67% من إجمالي الضحايا المُبلغ عنهم كانوا في مديرية المخا غرب تعز، وبعدد 42 مدنياً (7 قتلى و35 جريحاً)، مقابل 21 مدنياً في مأرب (2 قتلى و19 جريحاً)، فيما أُفيد بوقوع إصابات إضافية جراء هجمات استهدفت سفناً تجارية في مضيق باب المندب، إلا أن أعداد الضحايا لا تزال غير مؤكدة.
وأوضح المكتب الأممي أن هذه الهجمات تسببت بموجة نزوح جديدة للسكان من المناطق المستهدفة، إذ سُجل نزوح ما لا يقل عن 162 أسرة (نحو 1,134 شخصاً)، غالبيتها في محافظة تعز (120 أسرة)، بما في ذلك 35 أسرة من المخا و85 أسرة من مناطق أخرى في المحافظة، كما تم الإبلاغ عن نزوح إضافي في الحديدة (21 أسرة)، ولحج (18 أسرة)، ومحافظة مأرب (ثلاث أسر). وأوضح التقرير أن الأعمال العدائية أثرت على البنية التحتية الحيوية والخدمات الأساسية ومواقع النازحين، إذ أوقف ميناء المخا عملياته بشكل مؤقت، كما جرى الإبلاغ عن أضرار لحقت بالملاجئ في مأرب.
The Houthi terrorist militia renewed its shelling of residential neighborhoods in the districts of Al-Mokha and Al-Khokha in western Yemen this evening (Wednesday) with ballistic missiles.
Local residents speculated that the Houthis may have launched the two missiles from the Al-Huban area east of Taiz, while the media center of the Yemeni armed forces reported from military sources confirming that the Al-Mokha port was hit by three ballistic missiles, while a fourth ballistic missile fell inside the city of Al-Khokha, and it is still unknown whether there were civilian casualties.
The source clarified that the militia launched the four missiles from areas under its control in Jabal Oman east of the city of Taiz, with three missiles reaching the Al-Mokha port, while the fourth missile fell inside the city of Al-Khokha. This terrorist attack comes as part of the Houthi militia's repeated targeting of the Al-Mokha port and civilian facilities in the western coastal districts of Taiz province and southern Al-Hudaydah province.
On another note, the United Nations revealed that more than 60 civilian casualties resulted from the attacks carried out by the militia on populated areas in the provinces of Marib and Taiz.
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported that nine civilians were killed and at least 54 others were injured due to the attacks launched by the Houthi militia on areas and residential neighborhoods in the cities of Marib, Taiz, and Al-Mokha in recent times.
The report added that about 67% of the total reported casualties were in the Al-Mokha district west of Taiz, with 42 civilians (7 killed and 35 injured), compared to 21 civilians in Marib (2 killed and 19 injured), while additional injuries were reported due to attacks targeting commercial ships in the Bab al-Mandab Strait, but the casualty numbers remain unconfirmed.
The UN office clarified that these attacks have caused a new wave of displacement for residents from the targeted areas, with at least 162 families (approximately 1,134 individuals) recorded as displaced, most of them in Taiz province (120 families), including 35 families from Al-Mokha and 85 families from other areas in the province. Additional displacement was also reported in Al-Hudaydah (21 families), Lahij (18 families), and Marib province (three families). The report indicated that hostilities have affected vital infrastructure, essential services, and the locations of displaced persons, as the Al-Mokha port temporarily halted its operations, and damages to shelters in Marib were reported.
