اعتقلت قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، اليوم (الأربعاء)، وزير شؤون القدس الفلسطيني أشرف الأعور، أثناء وجوده في مجلس عزاء عائلة الأعور ببلدة سلوان جنوب المسجد الأقصى المبارك، في ثاني توقيف له خلال نحو أسبوعين.
وبحسب موقع «شهاب» الفلسطيني، اقتحمت قوات الاحتلال مجلس العزاء واعتقلت الأعور، في وقت لم تتضح على الفور أسباب الاعتقال أو مدة احتجازه.
ويأتي توقيف الوزير الفلسطيني بعد أيام قليلة من اعتقاله من منزله في بلدة سلوان، حيث أخضعته سلطات الاحتلال لساعات من التحقيق قبل أن تفرج عنه لاحقاً بكفالة مالية.
وكانت سلطات الاحتلال قد أصدرت في وقت سابق قراراً بإبعاد الأعور عن الضفة الغربية، ضمن إجراءات وقيود تفرضها على الفلسطينيين المقدسيين، بحسب المصادر الفلسطينية.
من هو أشرف الأعور؟
يشغل أشرف الأعور منصب وزير شؤون القدس في الحكومة الفلسطينية، ويرتبط نشاطه السياسي والرسمي بملف القدس وأوضاع المقدسيين، في ظل استمرار التوتر والإجراءات الإسرائيلية في المدينة، ولا سيما في البلدة القديمة ومحيط المسجد الأقصى.
وتعد بلدة سلوان، التي ينحدر منها الأعور، من أبرز المناطق الفلسطينية في القدس الشرقية، وتشهد منذ سنوات مواجهات وتوترات متكررة على خلفية إجراءات الاحتلال المتعلقة بالمنازل والأراضي والتهجير والإبعاد والاعتقالات.
اعتقالات متكررة للمقدسيين
وتأتي واقعة اعتقال الوزير الفلسطيني في سياق أوسع من الإجراءات الأمنية الإسرائيلية في القدس الشرقية، التي تشمل الاعتقالات والاستدعاءات والإبعاد والقيود على الحركة، فيما تقول السلطات الإسرائيلية إن هذه الإجراءات تأتي لدواعٍ أمنية.
في المقابل، تعتبر جهات فلسطينية أن هذه السياسات تستهدف الوجود الفلسطيني في القدس وتهدف إلى التضييق على المقدسيين والشخصيات السياسية والاجتماعية فيها.
ويكتسب اعتقال مسؤول فلسطيني في منصب وزير شؤون القدس حساسية خاصة، بالنظر إلى طبيعة الملف الذي يتولاه وعلاقته المباشرة بأوضاع المدينة المقدسة وسكانها الفلسطينيين.
The Israeli occupation forces arrested the Palestinian Minister of Jerusalem Affairs, Ashraf Al-Aawar, today (Wednesday), while he was attending a condolence gathering for the Al-Aawar family in the town of Silwan, south of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, marking his second arrest in about two weeks.
According to the Palestinian website "Shihab," the occupation forces stormed the condolence gathering and arrested Al-Aawar, at a time when the reasons for the arrest or the duration of his detention were not immediately clear.
This arrest of the Palestinian minister comes just a few days after he was detained from his home in the town of Silwan, where the occupation authorities subjected him to hours of interrogation before later releasing him on bail.
The occupation authorities had previously issued a decision to expel Al-Aawar from the West Bank, as part of the measures and restrictions imposed on Palestinian Jerusalemites, according to Palestinian sources.
Who is Ashraf Al-Aawar?
Ashraf Al-Aawar serves as the Minister of Jerusalem Affairs in the Palestinian government, and his political and official activities are linked to the file of Jerusalem and the conditions of its residents, amid ongoing tensions and Israeli measures in the city, particularly in the Old City and around the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The town of Silwan, from which Al-Aawar hails, is one of the prominent Palestinian areas in East Jerusalem, and has witnessed repeated confrontations and tensions for years due to the occupation's measures related to homes, land, displacement, expulsion, and arrests.
Repeated Arrests of Jerusalemites
The arrest of the Palestinian minister comes in the context of broader Israeli security measures in East Jerusalem, which include arrests, summonses, expulsions, and movement restrictions, while Israeli authorities claim that these measures are for security reasons.
In contrast, Palestinian entities consider that these policies target the Palestinian presence in Jerusalem and aim to restrict the Jerusalemites and political and social figures within it.
The arrest of a Palestinian official in the position of Minister of Jerusalem Affairs carries special sensitivity, given the nature of the file he oversees and his direct relationship with the conditions of the holy city and its Palestinian residents.
