أعلنت السلطات اليمنية اليوم (الثلاثاء) إحباط تهريب معدات لتصنيع الأسلحة كانت في طريقها إلى مليشيا الحوثيين في باب المندب.
وذكر المركز الإعلامي لقوات العمالقة الجنوبية أن قارباً يحمل مواد ومعدات نوعية تُستخدم في تصنيع الأسلحة كان في طريقه إلى مليشيا الحوثي الإرهابية في محافظة الحديدة ضبط في باب المندب اليوم.
القارب المضبوط
وأوضح المركز أن الدوريات البحرية التابعة للقوات المتمركزة في قطاع باب المندب اعترضت القارب وضبطته، وألقت القبض على طاقمه من المهربين التابعين للمليشيا، إثر عملية رصد ومتابعة استخباراتية دقيقة، مبيناً أن الأجهزة المختصة تعكف حالياً على فحص محتويات الشحنة وتحريزها بالكامل.

وأشار المركز إلى أن قوات العمالقة ستعلن تفاصيل الأصناف والمواد المضبوطة فور استكمال التحقيقات والإجراءات القانونية.
وتأتي هذه العملية في إطار الجهود المستمرة لضبط السواحل اليمنية وتأمينها ومكافحة أعمال التهريب.

وكانت قوات العمالقة قد ضبطت الشهر الماضي شحنة أسلحة مهربة بينها تقنيات لتصنيع المسيّرات كانت في طريقها إلى الحوثي على متن قارب.
The Yemeni authorities announced today (Tuesday) the thwarting of an attempt to smuggle equipment for weapon manufacturing that was on its way to the Houthi militia in Bab al-Mandab.
The media center of the Southern Giants Forces reported that a boat carrying materials and specialized equipment used in weapon manufacturing, which was headed to the terrorist Houthi militia in Al Hudaydah Governorate, was seized in Bab al-Mandab today.

The center clarified that the naval patrols of the forces stationed in the Bab al-Mandab sector intercepted the boat and seized it, arresting its crew of smugglers affiliated with the militia, following a precise intelligence monitoring and tracking operation. It indicated that the relevant authorities are currently examining the contents of the shipment and securing it entirely.

The center pointed out that the Giants Forces will announce the details of the seized items and materials as soon as the investigations and legal procedures are completed.
This operation comes as part of ongoing efforts to secure and control the Yemeni coasts and combat smuggling activities.

Last month, the Giants Forces seized a shipment of smuggled weapons, including technologies for manufacturing drones, that were on their way to the Houthis aboard a boat.
