تبدأ البنوك والمصارف ومراكز النقد والصرافة، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، تنفيذ توجيه البنك المركزي السعودي بفرز العملات الورقية (الإصدار السادس) للفئات 50، 100، 200، 500 ريال.
وشدّد البنك المركزي على الجهات بضرورة الالتزام بالمتطلبات الواجب توفرها في آلات العد والفرز المستخدمة، وبرمجة جميع الآلات للرقي بمستوى جودة العملة المتداولة داخل السعودية.
وصنّف البنك المركزي العملات المتداولة بأربع فئات: «صالحة للتداول، صالحة للتداول مع وجود بعض العيوب، غير صالحة للتداول مع وجود بعض العيوب، غير صالحة للتداول»؛ ويساهم الفرز في الارتقاء بمستوى جودة العملة الورقية السعودية المتداولة.
وشملت جودة العملة الورقية السعودية المتداولة، العديد من معايير صلاحية العملة المتداولة، مثل: «خلوها من الاتساخ، أو عدم احتوائها على بقع تجاوزت مساحتها 15×15 ملم، وعدم قبول العملات التي عليها كتابة أو رسم، وكذلك حظر تداول الأوراق النقدية الموسومة».
Banks, financial institutions, and currency exchange centers will begin today (Tuesday) implementing the directive from the Saudi Central Bank to sort the banknotes (sixth issue) in denominations of 50, 100, 200, and 500 riyals.
The Central Bank emphasized the necessity for these entities to adhere to the requirements that must be met by the counting and sorting machines used, and to program all machines to enhance the quality of the currency in circulation within Saudi Arabia.
The Central Bank classified the circulating currency into four categories: "fit for circulation, fit for circulation with some defects, unfit for circulation with some defects, and unfit for circulation"; sorting contributes to improving the quality of the Saudi banknotes in circulation.
The quality of the circulating Saudi banknotes includes many standards for the currency's fitness, such as: "being free from dirt, not having stains exceeding 15×15 mm, not accepting notes that have writing or drawings on them, and prohibiting the circulation of marked banknotes."
