قضى سائح حتفه غرقاً في بحيرة «أوزنغول» بولاية طرابزون شمالي تركيا، إثر نزوله إلى المياه لمحاولة استعادة حقيبة عائلته التي سقطت في البحيرة أثناء تنزههم.
وفقاً لوسائل إعلام تركية، فقد بدأت الواقعة عندما سقطت الحقيبة في الماء، ما دفع شخصين للقفز في البحيرة في محاولة لانتشالها، وتمكن أحد الأتراك الموجودين في الموقع من إنقاذ أحدهما وإخراجه بأمان، في حين جرف التيار السائح الآخر -يُعتقد أنه سعودي- ليختفي عن الأنظار تماماً.
وعقب تلقي البلاغ، استنفرت السلطات التركية فرق الطوارئ والكوارث (آفاد)، والدرك، والإسعاف، إضافة إلى فرق الغوص المتخصصة التي باشرت عمليات بحث مكثفة أسفرت عن العثور على السائح مفارقاً الحياة داخل البحيرة، وتم انتشال جثمانه ونقله إلى المستشفى لاستكمال الإجراءات القانونية، فيما فتحت السلطات الأمنية تحقيقاً للوقوف على ملابسات الواقعة وتفاصيلها.
A tourist drowned in Lake "Uzungöl" in Trabzon province, northern Turkey, after he entered the water to try to retrieve his family's bag that had fallen into the lake during their outing.
According to Turkish media, the incident began when the bag fell into the water, prompting two people to jump into the lake in an attempt to retrieve it. One of the Turks present at the site managed to rescue one of them and bring him to safety, while the current swept the other tourist - believed to be Saudi - completely out of sight.
After receiving the report, Turkish authorities mobilized emergency and disaster teams (AFAD), gendarmerie, and ambulance services, in addition to specialized diving teams that commenced intensive search operations, which resulted in finding the tourist deceased in the lake. His body was retrieved and transported to the hospital to complete the legal procedures, while security authorities opened an investigation to determine the circumstances and details of the incident.
