أكد وزير الدفاع اليمني الفريق الركن الدكتور طاهر العقيلي أن القوات المسلحة ستتصدى للطيران المعادي الذي ينتهك الأجواء والسيادة اليمنية بجميع الوسائل المتاحة.
وكشف العقيلي في بيان ألقاه اليوم (الإثنين) أن الحكومة اليمنية، بالتعاون مع المجتمع الإقليمي والدولي، حاولت بكل الوسائل القانونية والدبلوماسية إقناع النظام الإيراني ومليشيات الحوثي في صنعاء بالعودة إلى جادة الصواب وعدم اختراق الأجواء اليمنية بالطيران الإيراني. وأشار إلى أن هذا الاختراق ليس الأول، لكنه اختلف عن سابقيه بالتحدي للشرعية الدولية.
وقال العقيلي: «نفد الصبر، وعليه سنقوم بالرد المناسب على هذا العمل الغاشم الغادر ونتصدى للطيران المعادي الذي ينتهك الأجواء والسيادة اليمنية بجميع الوسائل المتاحة، حتى نلقن العدو درساً يسمع به القاصي والداني وتعلمه الأجيال القادمة». وأضاف: «ليعلم الجميع أن لليمن شعباً وقيادة تدافع عنه براً وبحراً وجواً مهما كانت العواقب». وحمّل النظام الإيراني المسؤولية الأخلاقية والقانونية الكاملة عن أي انتهاك للأجواء اليمنية، مؤكداً أن استمرار ما وصفه بالتدخلات الإيرانية ودعم الحوثيين يقوض أمن اليمن ويهدد استقرار المنطقة.
ومن المقرر أن يعقد مجلس الأمن الدولي جلسة طارئة اليوم، بناءً على طلب الحكومة، لمناقشة الانتهاك الإيراني للسيادة اليمنية من خلال تسيير رحلة جوية الى مطار صنعاء الخاضع لمليشيات الحوثي الارهابية. وكان رئيس مجلس القيادة الرئاسي الدكتور رشاد محمد العليمي ، حذر من خطورة التعدي على الاختصاصات السيادية الحصرية للدولة اليمنية، مؤكدا أن تكرار هذه المحاولة سيشكل تصعيداً خطيراً، واختباراً جديداً لقدرة المجتمع الدولي على حماية المبادئ التي قام عليها منذ ثمانية عقود. وشدد على ان الحكومة اليمنية وحدها هي السلطة المختصة قانوناً بمنح تصاريح تشغيل الرحلات الدولية إلى الأراضي اليمنية، ولا يجوز لأي جماعة مسلحة، مهما كانت سيطرتها الغاشمة، أن تمارس اختصاصات سيادية أو ترتب أي علاقات خارجية باسم الدولة اليمنية. وحذر رئيس مجلس القيادة من ان أي تعامل مباشر مع المليشيات الحوثية في هذه الاختصاصات يقوض قرارات مجلس الأمن، ويمنح سلطات الأمر الواقع صلاحيات غير معترف بها. واكد أن تصرف من هذا القبيل سيشكل سابقة خطيرة يمكن أن تشجع جماعات مسلحة أخرى حول العالم على ممارسة وظائف سيادية، وإقامة علاقات دولية بمعزل عن الدول المعترف بها، بما يهدد استقرار وهيبة النظام الدولي بأسره.
The Yemeni Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Dr. Taher Al-Aqili, confirmed that the armed forces will confront hostile aircraft that violate Yemeni airspace and sovereignty by all available means.
Al-Aqili revealed in a statement delivered today (Monday) that the Yemeni government, in cooperation with the regional and international community, has tried by all legal and diplomatic means to convince the Iranian regime and the Houthi militias in Sana'a to return to the right path and not to violate Yemeni airspace with Iranian aircraft. He pointed out that this violation is not the first, but it differs from previous ones in its challenge to international legitimacy.
Al-Aqili said: "Patience has run out, and therefore we will respond appropriately to this treacherous act and confront the hostile aircraft that violate Yemeni airspace and sovereignty by all available means, until we teach the enemy a lesson that will be heard by all and learned by future generations." He added: "Let everyone know that Yemen has a people and leadership that defend it by land, sea, and air, no matter the consequences." He held the Iranian regime fully morally and legally responsible for any violation of Yemeni airspace, emphasizing that the continuation of what he described as Iranian interventions and support for the Houthis undermines Yemen's security and threatens the stability of the region.
The UN Security Council is scheduled to hold an emergency session today, at the request of the government, to discuss the Iranian violation of Yemeni sovereignty through operating a flight to Sana'a Airport, which is controlled by the terrorist Houthi militias. The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, warned of the dangers of encroaching on the exclusive sovereign powers of the Yemeni state, stressing that the repetition of this attempt would constitute a serious escalation and a new test of the international community's ability to uphold the principles it has stood for over the past eight decades. He emphasized that the Yemeni government alone is the legally competent authority to grant permits for international flights to Yemeni territory, and no armed group, regardless of its brutal control, should exercise sovereign powers or establish any foreign relations in the name of the Yemeni state. The Chairman of the Leadership Council warned that any direct dealings with the Houthi militias in these sovereign matters undermine Security Council resolutions and grant de facto authorities unrecognized powers. He affirmed that such actions would set a dangerous precedent that could encourage other armed groups around the world to exercise sovereign functions and establish international relations independently of recognized states, threatening the stability and credibility of the entire international system.
