أصيب سائح أمريكي يبلغ من العمر 65 عامًا بجروح خطيرة بعد أن تحوّل لقاء عابر مع ثور بيسون ضخم داخل متنزه يلوستون الوطني إلى لحظات رعب حقيقية، حين قذفه الحيوان في الهواء في مشهد وثّقه أحد الزوار بكاميرته.
وقع الهجوم في مخيم بريدج باي، حيث كان الرجل يتنزه برفقة حفيده على مقربة من البيسون، قبل أن ينفجر الحيوان غضبًا ويندفع نحوهما بسرعة هائلة. يقول المصوّر مايك ماكلويد لصحيفة Cowboy State Daily إنه شاهد الثور يرفع الرجل بقرنه الأيسر ويرميه في الهواء، مشيرًا إلى أن الحيوان كان ضخمًا بارتفاع يناهز ستة أقدام.
ويُظهر مقطع الفيديو الثور وهو يواصل التحرك بعصبية قبل أن يعاود الهجوم مجددًا بعد مرور شاحنة قرب المكان، فيما حاول الرجل المصاب الاحتماء بالأشجار، لكن الحيوان لحق به وطرحه أرضًا مستخدمًا قرونه.
فرق الإسعاف هرعت إلى الموقع ونقلت السائح إلى مستشفى قريب، بينما لم تكشف إدارة المتنزهات عن تفاصيل إضافية حول وضعه الصحي. ويؤكد ماكلويد أن مجموعة من الأطفال كانت تلتقط صورًا للثور من مسافة بعيدة قبل الهجوم، وأن الحيوان بدا متوترًا وعدوانيًا.
وتعيد الحادثة التذكير بتحذيرات إدارة المتنزهات التي تشدد على ضرورة إبقاء مسافة لا تقل عن 25 ياردة من الحيوانات الكبيرة مثل البيسون، و100 ياردة من الحيوانات المفترسة، إذ إن البيسون رغم مظهره الهادئ قادر على الانقضاض بسرعة تفوق التوقعات.
An American tourist, 65 years old, was seriously injured after a brief encounter with a massive bison turned into moments of real terror when the animal tossed him into the air in a scene captured by another visitor on camera.
The attack occurred at the Bridge Bay campground, where the man was walking with his grandson near the bison, before the animal exploded in anger and charged at them with tremendous speed. Photographer Mike McLeod told Cowboy State Daily that he saw the bull lift the man with its left horn and throw him into the air, noting that the animal was huge, standing nearly six feet tall.
The video shows the bull continuing to move nervously before charging again after a truck passed nearby, while the injured man tried to take shelter behind trees, but the animal caught up with him and knocked him down using its horns.
Emergency crews rushed to the scene and transported the tourist to a nearby hospital, while the park management did not disclose additional details about his health condition. McLeod confirms that a group of children was taking pictures of the bull from a distance before the attack, and that the animal appeared tense and aggressive.
The incident serves as a reminder of the warnings from park management, which emphasizes the necessity of keeping a distance of at least 25 yards from large animals like bison, and 100 yards from predators, as bison, despite their calm appearance, can charge with speed beyond expectations.
