كشفت وسائل إعلام أمريكية، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، عن اتصالات إسرائيلية وأمريكية حول لبنان وسورية.
ونقل موقع «أكسيوس» عن مسؤولين أمريكيين وإسرائيليين قولهم إن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب طلب من نتنياهو سحب القوات الإسرائيلية من سورية ولبنان. وأوضح أن ترمب أبلغ نتنياهو، الخميس، أن على إسرائيل إعادة نشر قواتها خارج سورية ولبنان.
ونقل الموقع ذاته عن مكتب رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو تأكيداته أن نتنياهو طرح على ترمب مسألة الحاجة إلى مناطق أمنية على طول حدود إسرائيل.
وأوضح مصدر للموقع أن إدارة ترمب خلصت إلى أن نتنياهو لا يرغب في تقديم التنازلات التي كانت تسعى إليها الإدارة الأمريكية في سورية ولبنان.
من جهة أخرى، انتهت أعمال اليوم الأول من المفاوضات اللبنانية الإسرائيلية في السفارة الأمريكية بالعاصمة الإيطالية روما.
وقال مسؤول في وزارة الخارجية الأمريكية إن المحادثات اللبنانية الإسرائيلية التي عُقدت في روما بين ممثلي واشنطن وتل أبيب وبيروت بنّاءة، وجرت في أجواء إيجابية، مضيفاً: «الجانبان يبديان حرصاً على المضي قدماً».
وأشار إلى أن المحادثات ستستمر غداً (الأربعاء).
جاء ذلك في الوقت الذي أعلنت وزارة الصحة اللبنانية، اليوم، ارتفاع حصيلة القتلى إلى 4324 شخصاً و12223 مصاباً جراء الهجمات الإسرائيلية على البلاد منذ الثاني من مارس الماضي.
American media revealed today (Tuesday) about Israeli and American communications regarding Lebanon and Syria.
The Axios website reported that American and Israeli officials said that President Donald Trump asked Netanyahu to withdraw Israeli forces from Syria and Lebanon. It was clarified that Trump informed Netanyahu on Thursday that Israel should redeploy its forces outside of Syria and Lebanon.
The same website quoted the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirming that Netanyahu raised with Trump the issue of the need for security zones along Israel's borders.
A source told the website that the Trump administration concluded that Netanyahu is not willing to make the concessions that the American administration was seeking in Syria and Lebanon.
On another note, the first day of Lebanese-Israeli negotiations at the American embassy in the Italian capital, Rome, has concluded.
An official in the U.S. State Department stated that the Lebanese-Israeli talks held in Rome between representatives of Washington, Tel Aviv, and Beirut were constructive and took place in a positive atmosphere, adding: “Both sides are keen to move forward.”
He noted that the talks will continue tomorrow (Wednesday).
This came at a time when the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced today that the death toll has risen to 4,324 people and 12,223 injured due to the Israeli attacks on the country since March 2nd.
