أعلنت وزارة الدفاع الأمريكية (البنتاغون) أن إجمالي كلفة العمليات العسكرية التي تقودها واشنطن ضد إيران ارتفع إلى نحو 29 مليار دولار، بزيادة تُقدّر بنحو 4 مليارات دولار مقارنة بالتقديرات التي صدرت أواخر أبريل الماضي.
وأوضحت الوزارة أن هذا الارتفاع يعود بشكل أساسي إلى تكاليف صيانة وإصلاح المعدات العسكرية، إلى جانب استبدال القطع المتضررة، فضلاً عن زيادة النفقات التشغيلية المرتبطة بالعمليات الجارية في المنطقة.
وأضاف البنتاغون أن التقديرات المالية تخضع لمراجعة دورية من قبل هيئة الأركان المشتركة، إضافة إلى فرق التدقيق والرقابة المالية داخل الوزارة، في إطار متابعة دقيقة لحجم الإنفاق العسكري.
وفي سياق متصل، أشارت بيانات سابقة إلى أن مقترح ميزانية إدارة الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب للعام المالي 2027 يتضمن تخصيص نحو 1.5 تريليون دولار لقطاع الدفاع.
The U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) announced that the total cost of military operations led by Washington against Iran has risen to nearly $29 billion, an increase estimated at around $4 billion compared to estimates released in late April.
The department clarified that this increase is primarily due to the costs of maintaining and repairing military equipment, in addition to replacing damaged parts, as well as rising operational expenses associated with ongoing operations in the region.
The Pentagon added that the financial estimates are subject to periodic review by the Joint Chiefs of Staff, in addition to auditing and financial oversight teams within the department, as part of a careful monitoring of military spending.
In a related context, previous data indicated that the budget proposal from President Donald Trump's administration for the fiscal year 2027 includes an allocation of about $1.5 trillion for the defense sector.
